6 blind date: Xiong Zixin
- to Kaito -
Kaito walked to the elevator to go back to the underground parking lot where his manager parked his Aston Martin car and where his manager was waiting for him
Because Kaito wanted privacy, he left without saying anything to his manager which was a signal not to follow as not only was he an artist, he was the CEO of O.E. (Ocean Entertainment) so the manager has to follow his boss/artist instructions
When he arrived at his car he nodded at his manager who turned to nod at Kaito in the driver's seat and Kaito walked over to the back seat as his manager was also his driver for the day
"Drive to Chen's place, the others are waiting" Kaito told his manager than leaned his car on the backrest to close his eyes as he was tired from sleeping late at night after studying the little information about Lin Mei.
The manager quietly nodded to not disturb his boss/artist and drove to Chen's penthouse located in the heart of the city (the same place where Kaito was worrying about how to find a good lawyer before Mei called)
Kaito arrived at the penthouse 10 minutes later as the law firm was in the business sector where all major businesses are, which is in and out of the heart/center of the busy city
He went to the VIP elevator for those living in the top 3 floors in the underground parking lot after his manager dropped him off at the front of the VIP elevator as he had done this in the past frequently because Kaito would go here directly after shoots quite a bit
Kaito went inside the elevator and pressed on the top most floor where only one penthouse is located for the elite of the city and top 3 in the country, Wang Chen.
Kaito arrived at the only door in front of the elevator and took out his keycard to open Chen's door to his penthouse.
He shouted, "guys I am back from Lin Law Firm!"
Not even a second later Minseok came out of the kitchen where he was snacking on fruits from the fridge and said, "Kaito stop shouting! Your regular voice is loud enough for us to hear you"
Kaito just sheepishly smiled and put his hand on the back of his neck
After the moment of embarrassment passed, he walked to the living room where everyone else was seated wanting to hear the news.
He walked to the single seater in the living room, sat down and cleared his throat dramatically but right after Feng hit his head and said, "stop being dramatic and go straight to the point!"
Kaito rubbed his head and replied back, "ok ok!"
He then started describing what happen including,
"She was really pretty and young. If I am not mistaken, she must be younger than all of us"
Minseok said: "Really? Wow at such a young age already a top lawyer"
Chen spoke after being silent the whole time: "I heard she is the mysterious heiress of 'Lin Martial Empire' from father when I asked about Lin Mei"
Feng nodded and replied, "that makes sense. Uncle Wang's connections are very wide-spread and she has a high IQ with the surname Lin"
Kaito spoke up, "then I wonder if she can convince Ace Wang to help get the information we need. If only father did allow me to use more connections but someone may find out or those connections betray us…"
- back to Mei -
Mei was working on some documents while occasionally glancing at the paper with Ace Wang's info until at 2:30 pm Huang Wei called her
"Xiao Mei, you have your blind date remember?"
Mei responded back in a groan. "Ughhh can't you help me find a way out? Sometimes I wonder if you are a spy for my mother"
Wei just laughed and rubbed her head adoringly and said, "just stay for 10 minutes minimum, if you do not like the guy at all I will make a call to you to get you out of there ok?"
Mei said back, "you better keep your words hmph"
Wei replied, "of course"
They both went to the elevator which would take them directly to the underground parking lot where it would take 20-30 minutes to arrive at Quanjude (Restaurant) which was famous for their peking duck in Beijing, China and their other branches in China.
They reached at exactly 3 pm and went to the private room reserved by Chi Yan (aka Mei's mother) and Huang Wei walked over to a booth not to far away from the room to make sure nothing goes wrong as they did not bring bodyguards since they were in a private room
Mei went inside and saw a man, around 180 cm tall, with sleek black hair and wearing a navy blue tux, cream color shirt and white tie of mix blood decent
Mei had briefly read his profile and new this much:
Xiong Zixin, heir of Xiong Medical Corp.
Occupation: Professor/researcher of MIC (Medical Institution of China)*
Looks: 182 cm, black short hair, hazel eyes, sharp nose and jawline, lean body, stern but polite gaze with a distant aura
Mei walked up to him out of courtesy and said, "Hello Mr. Xiong"
Zixin, who came in five minutes earlier, saw Lin Mei, and was stunned for a bit. His grandmother had been nagging him to date instead of focusing on medicine and medical research so he agreed to going on a blind date with one of his grandma's friend granddaughter
(aka Grandma He, Zixin grandma, knows Grandma Zhao, Mei's grandma who in turn told Chi Yan, Mei's mother)
Zixin came out of his reverie and kept a poker face on with a polite smile, like Mei's and shook Mei's hand and said back, "hello Ms. Lin"
Mei nodded, happy at least he didn't immediately talk about himself or other nonsense, but instead was a gentleman but as they say 'never judge a book by it's cover' so she wanted to wait and see if he was unlike others and how the rumors are that he does not go near women or he is in reality a secret wolf in disguise of a gentleman (sheep).
