7 Chapter 7

Blake's POV

The past weeks have been stressful. Having to travel around is fun but having to work while traveling without rest cannot be considered fun. 

On getting back to New York, Mr. Phillip, my head of strategic planning whom I gave the task of finding me a new PA informed me of the success. Apparently, the Miss Ryan is a business administration graduate with an average result. Her result definitely isn't the reason why she was employed, she seemed genuinely interested in working here in Crosby Inc. Well that is what I truly wanted. Hopefully, I won't get disappointed 

After a torturous weekend, it's finally Monday. I formed a habit of getting to work an hour before the working hour ever since I took over the company. 

I'm actually curious to see when my new PA will get to work. I decided to kill time by working on the piles of files waiting for review. I was reviewing the reports on one of our newest projects when I heard a knock. I glanced at my watch

Not bad she is eight minutes early, I thought within me, 

"Come In" I responded to the knock. I heard a creak and the sound of footsteps. 

"Good morning sir" a soft voice spoke

"Good morning" I responded finally looking up. 

I was shocked by the sight before me, I have seen a lot of women, been with many of them but my new PA honey brown eyes and cute cheeks did stir something within me. Something I definitely won't be probing on. 

"I'm Ryan Paisley sir, your new PA. Is there anything you would like for me to do, Coffee maybe? " she asked professionally. 

"Yes a cup of Vienna" I told her. I had a meeting I needed to attend later on hence why I needed something strong. 

There is a cafe just down the street which I'm sure she won't have an issue finding. I'm glad she didn't Ogle at me as my previous PA's thought I hired them to Ogle at me all day. 

I might be a jerk, but I don't miss business with personal pleasure. And being a gentleman I can't say no to a lady who needs pleasure, though that singular act has cost me my PA's. Hence the need to hire a new one almost every year. 

It took her fifteen minutes to get me my coffee after which I let her head over to the human resource department and get herself acquainted with the rules here. She had until lunchtime to report to her desk as my PA officially

As the hours went by, I had two meetings which ended successfully. A knock was heard 

"Come in" I responded. Miss Ryan came in to let me know it's lunch hour. Glancing at the piles of documents that I must finish reviewing I decided to skip lunch. I let her go for lunch though. 

A few minutes later, another knock was heard, and after responding Miss Ryan came in holding a bag, apparently she got me lunch. I was speechless and me not responding made her awkward 

"I thought you would be hungry, I mean I would be, I guess I thought wrong. I'm sorry" she picked the bag and turned to leave. I finally found my voice

"No drop it and thank you" I was truly grateful, it's a first for me. Other than my family and friends no one at work ever bothered about me eating or not until her. She dropped the bag on one of the stools and left. 

The minute the door closed I went to pry on what she got for me. Fried chicken and lemon juice. 

Not bad I thought and ate my lunch. 

The day was finally over, and she came in to let me know she will be leaving before she left. While driving home I noticed she was seated at the bus station. I made a mental note to get her a car, my PA can't be hopping from one bus to another. 

Just as I thought the day's stress is finally over, I received a call from the human who made it his mission to torture my ears since last week. 

"Hey man" I picked up

"Hey, is it true you have a miss Ryan as your PA" how the fuck did he know Miss Ryan

"Yes and how do you know her" from his description of his heart goddess I'm certain Miss Ryan ain't the lady so how did they get acquainted 

"I met her the same night I met Eve, she is the best friend who I told you was there with her man" I was surprised because from what he told me, his Eve and her friend are carefree people but miss Ryan is just too professional. I couldn't place the two characters together 

"That's surprising because the miss Ryan I met isn't as carefree as you described. Either you are wrong and it's just a coincidence that they share a surname or you were too drunk to know their actual characters" I said

"C'mon man, would anyone ever believe the arrogant CEO Blake was once a prankster and the world's coolest brother? No idiot no one would believe. Moreover, it's her first day of work and Eve did say she was a nervous wreck about messing up" he said

"Well, she definitely didn't" I answered back. If she keeps up with her performance of today, she will without a doubt be the best PA I ever employed. 

"That's great to hear then. I'll call you later man if I remember that is" the bastard. sorry uncle 

The best friend to my best dude girlfriend works as my PA. What a cycle of relationship I chuckled at that

Well Miss Ryan, I am guessing we'll be seeing more of each other aside from the office.

My doorbell rang, opening up I saw Gavin at my door

"What are you doing here man" I mean this guy wasn't even sure if he would remember calling me tonight. Him being at my door is surprising 

"Eve bailed on me man, she wants the full gist of Paisley first day at the office" I can't believe this over 6ft human is sounding like a toddler whose candy was snatched. 

"It's not surprising, women's gist time is very important to them" I answered chuckling 

"I know that man. So how was your trip? I know I'm the shittiest friend for not asking since" thankfully you know. 

"I'm glad you know that man..... " the night ended with laughter and lots of beer. I'm definitely having a hangover to work tomorrow.
