After giving it some thought, she decided on sandwiches.
As she pressed some sandwiches, he stayed by her side looking at her as he nibbled on an apple, she had passed to him to eat.

The atmosphere was very comfortable even though no one spoke.
Some light passed into the kitchen from the huge windows in the lounge area, well, the kitchen was separated from the dining table beside the living room only by a wall with a counter, it was generally an open kitchen so, anyway, it gave a surreal scene.

His voice was very low giving it a sexy charm, she was dazed and unconsciously nodded, "hmm", when she came to her right mind, she again stiffened.
There was an awkward silence in the kitchen, well, at least for her.
Her hands kept shaking as she could feel his deep breaths beside her face, he was snuggling his face against the crook of her neck, he was really at ease but she couldn't be any more worse!
Maybe he noticed it as he used his hands to hold hers in them, "It must be really cold outside, even your hands are shaking", he said as he made the distance between them almost non-existent.
Qin Meilin had already stopped moving; as he helped her press the last of the sandwiches he said in a carefree voice, "This reminds me the times when we used to snuggle up inside the kotatsu and you kept embracing me. My body temperature has always been a bit high and yours a bit low...hehe. The Linlin back then was very cute, not that you're not now but back then I really loved when you kept clinging to me and kept calling me your 'personal heater'..."
Reminiscing those memories he let out a soft chuckle which brought her back from her stupor,
' That's right, it's nothing new for you, right? Get a hold of yourself Qin Meilin, don't always act so desperate, it's embarrassing!' she scolded herself as she loosened up in his embrace.
"It was only during winters, right? Because from what I remember you've always been like my tail, always liked to stick close and you still haven't grown up a bit", relaxed she chided.
"hmmmph..I've grown up ba....I-- I'm taller now..." he said in a sulking voice but.....
what he wanted to say was 'Meilin, I'm grown up now and I'm not a kid anymore' .....but he couldn't say it, she might run away again like she did years ago.
"en..en...our XuanXuan has grown up into a fine man, I'm proud of you", she said cleaning her fake tears.
"Linlin!!" he pouted.
"en..en, Sorry ba" , the atmosphere became light again.
No matter how angry he was, he didn't want them to be awkward so, he gave her a way to relax.
After the sandwiches were done, they ate till their fill.
As she took the dishes to wash them, she handed him a glass of warm milk, which he gladly took.
After she washed them she came back to see him squinting his eyes in pleasure after drinking the milk, 'Really, like a cat.'
He licked his lips clean and came to the kitchen with the glass to wash it, Meilin followed him back to help him clean his milk-moustache and the day continued.

Qin Meilin felt his warmth gone and secretly mumbled, ' I wish he had continued doing that' but then as if realising her wrong shook her head violently, as if, exorcising her thoughts.
