1 It's Miss Lin!

The dark sky was shrouded with thick grey clouds. the empty highway was silent besides the sound of a fast speeding Bugatti and an SUV. the expensive car itself warned to stay a hundred metres away as you can't afford to offend it's the owner.

inside the car, on the left seat was sitting a man in an expensive black tuxedo with loosened tie and slightly messy hair. the lamps on the silent road glowed on his face showcasing his well-sculpted face. a face that can make countless women week at their knees. surely a face to die for.

his cold unblinking black eyes were busy surveying through his laptop.

only one look at him and one could tell this god-like mysterious man is not to mess with.

the man sitting beside him was having a cold sweat. he has never seen his boss so furious.

'why does miss Lin has to be so tacky? everyone knows he hates clingy women'

"stop stirring your mind in unnecessary things and concentrate on driving" hearing the man's cold voice beside him he felt chills down his spine.

'why? miss Lin why? because of you, all employees have to work extra hours and god knows what's gonna happen to poor me'

the assistant cried a bucket of tears inside. He shoved his thoughts away and started focusing on the road when the lightning from the sky flashed on the road.

In that one second of flash, he saw a dark silhouette heading in their direction. He at once pushed on the brakes. The car halted with a loud screech. Sensing danger the SUV behind the Bugatti also screeched heavily and at once six burly bodyguards with heavy weapons jumped out surrounding the Bugatti.

The assistant was confused.

'Did he just saw someone on the road?'

He rubbed his eyes and glanced at the dark road ahead which was lightened by the car front lights.

The man in the left seat who was busy eventually lifted his head and frowned. Following his assistant gaze, he looked at the empty road ahead but nothing was unusual.

"What's the matter?" The man asked in an unpleased tone.

"Uh- Boss I think there's someone on the road"the assistant replied.

"For wasting my 3 minutes your bonus for this year is cut down." The man spoke and got busy with his laptop again.

His assistant cried in his heart again.

Just as he was about to signal the guards to go back his gaze fell on a figure ahead on the road.

"B-boss...Gh-ghost.." The assistant jumped in fear.

His boss glared at him and then at the road. Indeed there was someone on the road.

There was a girl staggering along the footpath. Her face was covered with her black hair making it difficult to observe her.

Seeing a car at some distance, The girl got appeased. She has been running for hours and now her legs were sore. Finally seeing a car she got relieved that she will be rescued and her knees gave way.

Seeing the girl falling on her knees the man finally understood the situation.

She was injured.

"Gu Chen...go look" he ordered in a curious tone.

Gu Chen at once climbed out of the car and headed towards the girl.

The bright light from the car made her squint her eyes When someone's long legs blocked the lights and she raised her head.

She was losing her consciousness due to the sharp pain in her body. She knew she wouldn't survive.

Gu Cheng stepped towards the girl on the road and he realised she was heavily injured. Her clothes were soaked with blood. She was in a mess.

"Miss are you okay?" Gu Cheng asked in an anxious tone.

The girl instantly recognised the man through his voice and the girl looked at the man who was sitting on his foot in front of her through the gap between her hairs which were covering her face.

"Gu-Gu Cheng..." few words escaped her pale lips as her hand reached towards him.

'What!'

"Miss L-Lin?.." as he spoke his hand reached and pushed her hair aside and he was shocked.

Rumble!

"What..miss Lin how did you end up like this?..uh-ah boss! Let me call him"the assistant at once rushed back towards the car.

Her empty eyes slightly lit up and her hearts skipped a beat at the presence of certain someone.

"Jianshung..." a bitter smile appeared on her bruised face.

Seeing Gu Chen running back hurriedly Lu Jianshung rolled down the window.

"Boss it's miss Lin. She-she's heavily injured"

Once the car's door flung open and the man stepped out.

With a bolt of lightning came an ear-piercing thunder. Heavy dashes of rain began to damp the surroundings.

Lu Jianshung didn't care about the rain and rushed towards the girl with a tense sensation in his heart.

The girl raised her head. Long strands of her jet black hair were now dripping with rain. a cold wind blew past and her body shivered.

Seeing this man she smiled faintly.

'Now that I have seen him before I breathe my last, I have no regrets'

The girl shook and was about to hit the cold wet road when two strong arms embraced her. The girl's head rested on the man's hard chest and his cool minty scent flourished her perishing senses.

Her eyes felt heavy as she strived to stay awake. she knew her time is near.

"Jian..shung.." a light whisper escaped her mouth.

Lu Jianshung hand reached her back to hold her up but landed on hard metal. He turned her weak body and his eyes widened in shock!

A push dagger was ruthlessly stabbed on her lower back and blood was oozing out.

His eyes darted to the whimpering girl in his embrace. Tears slid down her bruised pale cheeks and as whimpered in pain. A murderous glint flashed past his eyes.

At this movement, he didn't notice that warm wavering feeling in his cold heart as he lifted her up and hurried to the black Suv.

"Gu Chen hurry!" He shouted at his assistant.

"Yes, boss" Gu Chen replied hurriedly.
