Sophie Lin, the Nation's Superstar

On a large white couch, a woman in her early 20s could be seen. She had worn a mustard-colored crop top and black Palazzo pants with mustard-colored heels. Her dark chocolate hair had reached her lower waist. 

"I was there for only 5 minutes. I had no idea that they would capture my pictures and circulate them everywhere," the woman told the man in his 40s, Zheng Daniel, the chairman of WC Entertainment, who was seated on a sofa chair. 

"You threw the heel towards the renowned actress of the industry, Zi Yixun?" Zheng Daniel threw the newspaper on the sofa table. "What is this? Are you trying to ruin your career?" He shouted and placed his hand on his chest. He picked up the magazine from the other table and started fanning himself.   

"Why are you getting angry at me? She said something which angered me," Sophie Lin lowered her head, fidgeting her fingers.  

Zheng Daniel rolled his eyes and put the magazine down. "Oh, this girl will seriously give me a heart attack. You should learn to control your anger," Zheng Daniel gritted his teeth and called Sophie's manager inside.  

Ciao Hong quickly came in and bowed before Zheng Denial. He glanced at Sophie Lin, who had furrowed her brows.  

"I told you not to let her go to such parties. She was there for five minutes and created this scene. Did she drink there? Do not lie to me because I need to cover this up. Her haters have already published thousands of articles since the previous night that Sophie took drugs. They spreading lies everywhere." 

He pressed the temple of his forehead as his head had been aching since the early morning.

Sophie Lin furiously said, "Why are you blaming me? Yi Zixun was mocking me off. She should be happy that I did not slap her for what she said to me."

"Don't say a word, Sophie. I beg you. My head has been burning since the early morning. Your shoots are getting cancelled after this incident. You always remained calm, then why did you do this?" Zheng Daniel exhaled a deep breath and looked at Ciao Hong.  

"Take her home. Do not let her go out, else I will fire you," Zheng Daniel warned Ciao Hong, who gulped in fear while Sohpie glared at him. Ciao Hong gestured to her to stand up, and she did so when Zheng Daniel stopped her.  

"I have talked with the Secretary of Sunshine Technologies' CEO to consider you for the commercial. I am afraid if the CEO will answer us after this incident or not," Zheng Daniel informed Sophie. 

"Why are you so worried? Zi Yixun is at fault too. I am in demand everywhere, so I'll get this commercial easily. Remember, I am the nation's superstar," Sophie said in a confident tone.

"You were in demand, Sophie. I am afraid that people are ranting their anger out on social media. You shall leave. I will look into this and yes, give me the apology letter that I told you to bring." Zheng Daniel had calmed down a bit. Sohpie took out the letter from her handbag and handed it to Zheng Daniel. She then left his office, followed by her manager, Ciao Hong.  

They stepped into the elevator. Ciao pushed the button and it closed. 

"I told you not to go to that party. Yi Zixun is already jealous of you. Things have heated up. The stocks are affected drastically," Ciao Hong told Sophie, who rolled her eyes.

Why was she being blamed when she was the victim? Ah, yes! because she threw a heel towards Zi Yixun, who mocked her off. 

But what about her? No one ever tried to find out what Yi Zixun said to Sophie. Everyone was more focused on the part where Sophie hit Yi Zixun. 

"Nothing will happen. I have many fans and they support me," Sophie said as she crossed her arms around her chest.  

"But you have a lot of haters as well," Ciao Hong replied back.  

"Jealous people need an issue to ruin my life. I know that nothing will happen," Sophie stated. The elevator opened and the two walked out.   

"Wait, here. I will first check whether everything is fine outside," Ciao Hong said, and dashed out. The employees walked past her, waving at her while she gave a tiny smile. 

Suddenly, a young woman dashed towards her. Before she could understand, a raw egg hit her head, shocking everyone there.  

Security guards came running to her and nabbed the woman who was ready to attack her for the second time. A few employees who were in the lobby came running to protect Sophie.

"How dare you hit my favorite actress,Yi Zixun, with a heel? You have got no shame! You are an arrogant woman!" The young woman kept shouting at Sophie. 

Ciao had come there. He was panicked and took Sophie away from there. The other staff called the police to arrest the woman for attacking Sophie like this.  

Sophie was still in shock and was brought to a dressing room. She jerked his hand off her shoulder and walked inside the washroom. 

"Sophie, don't do something foolish. Come out!" Ciao Hong shouted and knocked at the door of the washroom.  

Sophie's other dress assistant picked a clean dress for her and asked her to open the door. She took the dress from her and closed the door again. 

Half an hour later, she came out, wearing a clean dress. Ciao was relieved to see her. 

'"Did you take a shower?" He questioned. 

"Do you want me to walk with that raw egg smell in my hair?" She asked him as she rested on the vanity chair. She picked up the hairdryer and started drying her hair. 

"Don't spare that woman. That witch!" Sophie was enraged. "I know this is all done by Zi Yixun." She gave a wry laugh. 

"She never fails to surprise me with her ridiculous acts," Sophie muttered.  

Ciao told her to calm down. 

"Is the way clear? I need to go home," Sophie asked him.  

"Everything is good outside," asserted Ciao. 

Sophie stood up from the chair after drying her hair and walked out, followed by Ciao. Getting into the SUV, she covered her eyes with the eyemask. The driver started the engine and drove to Sophie's house.  

At that moment, Ciao Hong received a call from Zheng Daniel. 

"Yes, sir! Sure. I will inform her." He cut the call and turned to Sophie.  

"There is one piece of bad news. The CEO of Sunshine Technologies has refused to include you in the commercial," Ciao heaved a sigh as he told her.

"You have lost a drama too after yesterday's incident. Chairman Zheng has suggested something. You have to meet the CEO of Sunshine Technologies and at all cost, sign up for the commercial for the new electric vehicle that they will launch soon on the market," Ciao Hong narrated everything to Sophie.  

She removed the eyemask and glanced at him. "Why will I meet him? It's not my fault if he has refused to go forward with this offer. Tell Chairman Zheng to handle this on his own. I have not taken a single leave for a long time. At least, I can rest peacefully," Sophie proclaimed and smiled.
