That night was raining hard. A young woman was kneeling in front of a half-dead person. She was drenched in blood and sweat. She was shivering from the cold yet she didn't budge over it. The most important thing was the person covered in severe wounds and half dying just right in front of her.

The pale man tried to reach out his hand towards the woman's delicate face, his ice-cold temperature sends a shiver down her spine. As he spoke, he was catching his breath like a person on his deathbed, "Ying-er, live on. You still got the future ahead of you. If you stay they will kill you also."

He warned her. His hands now are turning into cold. His breathing begun to slow. The erratic heartbeat that was once loud and blaring were beginning to gradually fade. The face that was well known for its beauty, as if carved by the most expert sculpture in history glistened in unhealthy white.

The amber of light begun to dwindle and separated from its corporeal shell leaving a shattered and lonely single soul.

"Brother Lu Feng NOoooo! Do not leave me!" Su Ci Yi's voice rattled towards the end. Her body in which couldn't discern the cold breeze of the night trembled uncontrollably.

After deciding her final resolved, Su Ci Yi transferred all her remaining qi energy towards the man, then she looked around and found a small hole behind the prune grasses. Covering him in green leaves, Su Ci Yi hides the man's body and step up alone in the night.

Her resolved akin to the roar of a roaring lion, fierce and undeniable. Amidst the muddy soil and addle ground, she stood up wiping the tears that had gone down her cheeks.

Thunder struck on a dark night. Along with the silent footsteps of a group of incoming adversaries. Su Ci Yi stood alone and with a voice unfaltering declared,

Su Ci Yi, woke up from excruciating pain on her head. Moving her eyelids up, she couldn't get used to the sunlight shining in front of her face.

She adjusted her face and slowly opened her eyes.

All she could see was pure white ceiling and there was a strange sound coming from a machine she didn't know. Trying to move her body, she winced in pain upon sensing it's still not okay. Sure enough, her last battle was intense last night.

Four people ganged on her. She could sense that they were already on their latent core formation. Yet, she was ahead of them. She already reached the nascent soul stage of cultivation. She was more skilled than them.

However, no matter how skilled she was, she was the only one fighting against them. The poison in her body was acting rapidly and almost her qi energy was transferred to Lu Feng.

She didn't even know how she died back then.

The woman ran in panic outside and after a few moments, she came in together with a person in white clothes. The woman handed her glasses of warm water. Su Ci Yi drank it all and said her thanks.

Then she pretended to lie down. She was keeping quiet all this time yet her mind was full of a chaotic question mark. She needed time to think carefully about what was happening.

"Sister?" The woman who called her sister again plastered her undeniable concern and ruin her personal moment.

Can she let her think just for a few seconds?

Su Ci Yi was trying to be less conspicuous in this situation. Acting out of character would lead to making them suspicious of her. Surely, they wouldn't find her actions strange right?

"Doctor! Something's wrong with my sister! Come quick"

The doctor, like calm as the serene water spoke, "It seems that her eyes are functioning well. Strange. I thought she became blind seeing she's not throwing things at people randomly... We will examine her again"

Su Ci Yi: "…"

Is it normal for her to do strange things?

The woman was still not convinced and replied, "Just do anything you can do within your power, I leave my sister's life to you. Though Ci Yi is crazy, she is still Ci Yi. If she's not, then something's wrong with her!"
