30 COSPLAY

Wang Yu Yan realized then and there that she was alone. Sitting on top of that bed she saw that this world was far from her own. She was a fool to think that she could at least fit in. But at the time she didn't think much. She was just intrigued by this man.

Now looking back at how much she might lose, she realized it wasn't worth it. Nothing was worth Mo Ru Shi's life. She was naive thinking that these people would help her get home. It was so obvious that they were secretly keeping her captive.

She couldn't be sure about Ling Feng's intention since he seemed to not want her in her house. ..but Lady Ying Yue, what were her intentions? What reason did she have for lying to her? She clearly knew that she wouldn't take her home but insisted that she would.

She also fooled her into staying at this house making her think that she was going to help her. Wang Yu Yan concluded, she couldn't trust anyone in this world. Everybody seemed to have their own agenda.

It was clear that Wang Yu Yan had to get out of here.

But how would she do that without anybody noticing her?

Wang Yu Yan looked around the room for any way that would be her escape. Before her mind went too far, she remembered the glass door.

It was the closest exit to her room and the best way to confirm no one would notice her. Wang Yu Yan went to the closet, took out her belongings, and changed into Mo Ru Shi's clothing. If she was going home it would be wise that she wouldn't stand out.

She would be in danger again once people found out her identity as a princess. Any sort of attention in the Kingdom would be bad news. Wang Yu Yan had to make sure she made it to the palace without being noticed. This way she could explain everything to the queen in her own words.

Wang Yu Yan slowly opened the door as she tried to make sure she made no sound. Checking the coast she saw that the old lady was nowhere to be found. She looked throughout the hall to see no sign of movement.

Wang Yu Yan tip-toed towards the glass door. She pulled against it, this time in the correct direction.

It wasn't opening, she pulled on it again to be met with resistance. Great!

Wang Yu Yan didn't understand. Wasn't she doing it correctly?

She pulled on it one more time before inspecting the door handle. After a series of scanning, she saw it.

"Honey, please wait", her heart stopped.

She was caught. Wang Yu Yan didn't know what the lady's reaction would be making her even more frightened. She turned around slowly expecting to find the woman right behind her.

Before she completed her rotation she heard it again, "I'm sorry for how I spoke to you just now, it just…",

"…It's just that you are fooled by that lunatic",

Wang Yu Yan quickly turned to find no one in the room. She sighed in relief and continued. She touched the small piece, behind the handle, with her index finger and a click followed.

She pulled again this time the door slid open.

She was free, Wang Yu Yan immediately took off running as fast as she could. The backyard consisted of a large yawn taking her some time to run across.

Wang Yu Yan effortlessly jumped over the walled fence that surrounded the place.

Just as her feet stepped on the ground outside the property she found herself in the woods. She looked all around to find only a plantation of wild trees everywhere.

Wang Yu Yan wasn't too fond of the forest but she kept running. She kept her feet moving until she got to a road. The journey she traveled from the Ling Residence to the road took her a while.

By the time she got to the road, the sun was right above her. It must have been 12:00. Wang Yu Yan was exhausted from her journey on foot and soon she realized. It would be impossible to get to Guan Continent.

She raised her arm to one of the Metal Beast's. Many passed her but soon one stopped right next to her.

It worked. Wang Yu Yan had found it hard to believe that you could make a beast stop for you by just raising your hand. But today that seemed to have happened for her.

That large screened-in Ling Feng's house was truly helpful.

"Where to miss?", the metal-beast man spoke as he looked at her through his mirror.

"I don't understand", Wang Yu Yan sat in the back as she shut the door.

"Where are you going?", the driver repeated with annoyance in his voice.

"Guan Continent",

"Lady, are you kidding me? Is this the 5th century or something?",

Wang Yu Yan was clueless about what the man was talking about," What do you mean?",

"Miss, I don't have time for this please exit the car", he already had his hands on the big wheel ready to go.

"Wait, please take me to horseman",

"Do you mean a ranch miss", Wang Yu Yan nodded. she didn't know what that meant but if it meant to a horseman then she was okay with that.

If everyone insisted on not taking her. Then she would have to ride there herself.

"You really like cosplay, don't you? Are you one of those cosplay fanatics",

Wang Yu Yan blankly looked at the man in confusion. He gave her a short glance in the mirror and then he continued to focus on his driving.

"Never mind", he grumbled in awkwardness.

Wang Yu Yan was hopeful. Maybe finally she would be able to be on her way back home.
