12 Realization!
The car stopped in front of the huge mansion that Wallace owned. The entrance to the estate was passed 5 minutes ago. Although the car the was moving on 60 km/h, it still took a little over 5 minutes to reach the mansion. One could imagine Wallace's wealth.
A face that could set fire to the heavens, temperament colder that the nine tailed fox's blue fire and wealth enough to buy the whole city without batting an eye. This is what made the ladies swoon over Wallace and the government afraid of his power.
Wallace was certain that it would take less than a month for him to unlock Xiao Wei's memories. He was this confident because he knew that after marrying her, he would be able to stay by her 24/7 without having to explain anything or find any excuses.
"Little girl, I'm strictly warning you not to eat or drink anything that hasn't been verified or checked by me. Even if it comes from the Zhe family.", Wallace warned Xiao Wei. Although it was a warning, his voice was warm and doting. It wasn't his usual cold demeanor or the cold aura he gave off when he talked to everyone.
The way he looked at Xiao Wei was the kind of gentle look he never even gave his parents. Not that his parents deserved it.
Xiao Wei calmly agreed. Although she was loyal to her parents that didn't mean she trusted them blindly. And what if they weren't her parents after all? Even if they weren't, they treated her well all these years, right? Xiao Wei consoled herself by saying these to herself. But she knew that if they wronged her or had any ulterior motive towards her, she wouldn't let them off the hook. Perhaps this was a trait Xiao Wei didn't lose despite losing her memories. She was still vengeful and dangerous!
The image everyone had in their minds of Xiao Wei was going to change fiercely. Will she still remain the pure lotus flower who was like an innocent protagonist of a stereotypical novel?
Wallace led Xiao Wei upstairs to show the new room she owned now. It wasn't just the room she owned.
She didn't know that Wallace had already transferred the estate to her name. He predicted the future well. He knew that soon she'll need the security and backing. And an estate in Zenith Realm would be enough. The estate was worth more than a billion.
Suddenly Xiao Wei's phone rang. Wallace eyed her as if disturbed by the sudden interruption. They weren't even doing anything important. It was just Wallace taking Xiao Wei to her room. But to an interruption between that irritated Wallace.
"Hello, mom."
Wallace creased his brows.
"I'm sorry, mom. I'm busy and I won't be able at home today. I'll have lunch outside."
"Please stop being so forceful about something so simple. I'll hang up now.", Xiao Wei cut the call and looked at the pleased Wallace standing beside her like a lost puppy who just got acknowledged by his master.
He was indeed happy that she listened to him.
"Mother kept saying that I have to eat at home or she'll send something to my apartment because it's healthier. When I said I'm busy, she abruptly started to remind me of the promise I made to her." Xiao Wei said calmly.
"What promise?", Wallace asked meaningfully.
"That I'll eat at home everyday at least once."
Just as she said that, her face darkened. It was as if she realised something.
Seeing her face, Wallace silently smiled. It looks like his little wife will be going into action soon.
His stone cold heart turned into a pool of marshmallow just by the thought of the girl he fell for coming back.
It's going to be a fun ride.
