It feels like we're such prominent guests that the kingdom's warriors had to escort us to the castle, with guards on each of our sides. It looked like we were part of a parade with the amount of protection we had, and it only captured the eyes of many.

I kept my head bowed down the entire time while Rhys, who was beside me, enjoyed the amount of attention he's getting. Faye would swim over to his side, smacking his shoulder when Rhys decided to give a flirtatious wink at one of the mermaids that stared at him with googly eyes. 

She reminds him of his reputation, making him all gloomy a sudden. It's not his fault that he was born to look captivating at all times. He could be the most handsome merman I've seen so far.

"Your knight, handsome? I beg to differ; you haven't seen his majesty just yet," Dionne appears, surprising me. I laugh at her comment. She couldn't have possibly read my mind, or I may have accidentally read my mind out loud.
