134 Sword Against Dagger

I reacted quickly as if my senses had sharpened because of the recent events, and I send an arrow flying toward the figure hiding behind the mist and nearest tree. It lets me know that it was a live being when it howls before dropping on the ground.

The sound alerted Rhys and halted him, turning to look at me. However, his orbs had changed a different color. I rub my eyes before taking another look at him, but he surprises me when he suddenly appears closer to me. His eyes are black to his natural blue orbs. 

I could have sworn I saw a light shade of golden orbs staring at me a moment ago. At the same time, I'm feeling the cold immensely and the tiredness after battling the serpent. My mind must be that exhausted to start picking up the wrong things.

But it doesn't explain how I caught the creature hiding by the tree that quickly.
