126 Sickness Under The Blood Moon

"Miss Rose!"

Petite hands slide under my armpits, pulling me up and helping me back on my bed. I groan at the numbness of my legs but stay determined to get up from the ground. As soon as my bottom touches the soft mattress, I released a sigh of relief. 

I mumble a thank you to the kind creature that helped me, which turned out to be Mina. I see her short curly hair and her ocean ears. She gazes at me sympathetically, pulling my blankets up to cover my body, but I push it away. 

"I wish to see the king," I commanded, staring right ahead, avoiding the confusion that spreads on her face. 

My room is dim, with only the fireplace and the vanity lamp brightening the place. Blinds covered the windows and the door to my balcony. I could tell that I woke up at the wrong hour, as Mina came in, leaving my door opened. The corridors are empty, silent, and dark.
