Alarmed that it may be someone with devious means, I plan to start swimming toward the suspicious creature by the roof of the castle. Even if there's only one that I can fathom, I have a feeling that it is up to no good. 

The guards could have caught and halted anyone who would try to enter the palace. Tonight as it is the Princess' coming of age ceremony, the security tightened as visitors were all given invitations for entry. 

The entity could be someone uninvited and planned to find another way in by sneaking. However, with my enhanced vision, I was able to capture a pair of legs even through the dark. It could not be a merman, and it wouldn't be from here.

But before I could get any further than I am now, Prince Kai catches ahold of my wrist, yanking me behind him. He forcefully pushes me on the ground taking me by surprise as I yelp. 

Both of us are on the ground with him hovering above me.
