103 Odd Invite

Lohene caused my jaw to drop and hang for seconds. She allowed me to put archery to rest until the next day and proceeded with hand-to-hand combat.

I felt disappointed with myself, causing my performance to falter the longer we kept going. The only thing that came out of Lohene's mouth were harsh words from her continuous scolding. She has no mercy, and her words are more painful than the punches I received from her.

"You're nothing like your mother. You're a coward- you'll never survive amidst battle!"

"You don't- even know my mother," I choke and cry while her grip tightens on my neck. I could claw her hardened arms, but she would never let me go that easy.

She laughs maliciously, "I know everything about her even without having to meet her. And I know that you'll be like her."
