122 Fraud

 "Your highness, I beg you to hear my son out for once. He brings urgent news."

I stare down at Festus, bowing to earn him the slightest bit of my time. The clock ticking has been bothering me for a while as I waited for the jewelry to arrive. Late, as usual, I wonder how to get my subjects in this castle to be more competent. 

Festus has been getting on my nerves for the past few days. He has been trying his best to sabotage my relationship with my daughter. I don't know why I'm still keeping him to this very day. It could be because he has the potential to be of great use to me. 

I proceeded to the window, and coming to my attention is my daughter stepping out of the main doors. She went out alone, making me nervous as my mind clouded with the image of her running. However, she only stared at the scenery as the sun caresses her pale cheeks. 

The sun has been shining ever so brightly; I'm not used to it.
