48 Awakening II

I try to peek even as the light hurts my eyes to see what's causing this when I catch the sight that got my blood frozen.

The extreme light vanishes, revealing a lady who seems to be floating. She has wavy snow-white hair that is pinned neatly with a purple flower. She wears a plain white dress that falls above her bare ankle, and her wings are far greater than mine, glowing golden in color.

Her eyes flutter open to unveil her golden colored eyes, matching her wings, and it stared right at me. I'm unable to move; I might be under her control. Could this be Beorene? But Beorene should not have wings, and she shouldn't be this beautiful.

"Y-You, who are you?"

The fairy smiles the sweetest smile that gets you mesmerized, "Darling, how could you not remember your very own mother?"

I gasp when she suddenly appears in front of me. Her face only inches away from mine, keeping me distracted as she snatches the scythe I'm holding. She gets ahold of the scythe with a smirk plastered on her face, and the weapon turns to dust before disappearing completely.

"Who are you!" with terror-filled eyes, I exclaimed. I can't move, nor can I use my magic. She's got me under her control. Her looks may deceive you, but she's up to no good.

"I'm so disappointed with you, my daughter. I thought you were different from her, but you're both the same. There's nobody I can trust," she says disappointedly, with a hint of hurt in her words.

Fury clouded my vision, "stop calling me your daughter- you're just Beorene in another skin. Is hiding all you can do? or is it that you're too ashamed to reveal your true self."

I could not control the words that slipped out of my mouth, and I watch her expression change to bitterness. The next thing that happens is unexpected, as the sound of her slap rings throughout the room.

My cheek begins to sting, and I watch her with disbelief. She steps away from me, sitting on the table before speaking, "stop calling me the name of my impudent sister. Can't you tell our difference?"

I look at her stunned, unable to think or speak when the thought came across my mind. If this lady standing in front of me isn't Beorene, then she could only be-

"Dazia?"

She gives out a smile, "the many times I've used your body, how odd of you to never feel who I truly was."

"Why are you doing this?" I croaked out, feeling betrayed. The times that she took over my body, she was up to no good. The kingdom would always be in turmoil as she'd pretend to be Beorene and forced Dazians to search through every length to find her necklace, even as it leads them to their deaths.

How could Dazia do this to her kingdom?

"For years, I've used your body only for one reason, that is to find the necklace that solely belongs to me," she wanders around the room as she responds, "however, this time, I feel its presence, and it's somewhere near," she smiles so brightly.

"I have to get to it before my sisters can."

My heart rate quickens upon hearing what she said, "they're alive?"

"Oh darling, of course, we were always alive. We just waited for the right time to come back to the place that we love," she keeps her voice so genuine and smooth that one can't fathom how she's the villain of the story.

"Give it up, stop this ridiculous fight with your sisters. It has done nothing but hinders peace upon the center realm. You and your sisters have been alive for centuries, and yet none of you grew up."

Her eyes rounded with astonishment, and she laughs a sickening laugh that gives you chills. She's right, as the many times she's been controlling over my body, how have I never felt her presence. She does have the power to manipulate everything that lives.

Then my knees give up, forced to give up on me as I fall to the ground. I stare at Dazia with wide eyes, watching her walk towards me.

She plays with the strands of my hair, pushing it behind my ears as she says, "how dare you- take that tone with your mother."

Then she places both her hands on my head, and my mind goes to a frenzy as it takes me back to a memory that I can't remember, my birth.

My perspective is blurry, but it's clear enough that I watch the scene of Dazia, in her very own form, crying beside a large tree in Kingsto woods. She weeps with sorrow as if she lost a child.

"Lucia, Lucia..." she whispers out a name while her lips tremble. The tears that fell from her cheeks waters the soil beside her, and before she knew it, sprout a white lily. She gasps in surprise upon seeing what her tears have made.

"A lily that grew from the tears I mourned for the child that I lost," the great sadness clouded above her, but her face brightens as she had an idea, "then a child you'll be replacing."

With every last power of creation she had obtained, she turned the flower into a child with large sparkling blue eyes, white hair that mirrored Dazia's, and soft blue wings. My heart starts aching, and I don't know why.

Dazia looks at the child so lovingly, and the little fairy looks at her with wonder, "my child, you're as lovely as a lily, and you have my hair. I shall call you, Blossom."

"What-" and suddenly I was pulled back, everything goes cloudy before I'm brought back to reality. Dazia stood in front of me with a slight smile. A tear slips from my eye, and my chest feels extremely heavy.

"I made you hoping that you won't abandon me like your sister, Lucia. Instead, you were going to kill me," her eyes glisten, "you both disappointed me."

Her eyes glow, and instantly I'm off the ground, floating up. She approaches me, taking my hand. I feel the familiarity with what she's doing; she's transferring herself to my body.

"You should never have resulted in this, and maybe I would have let you live with me," she whispers the last part, "but it's too late now."

"Wait, stop-" I manage to shout to her with tears brimming from my eyes, but I feel the powerful energy transferring to my body. The power is enough to alter my thinking and destroy my inner self. She's taking over every part of me, my body and mind, that the real me will cease to exist.

"Rest now, my daughter- I'll take good care of your shell. Thank you for preparing this day for me," and that's the last I hear. My world is disappearing, and I could no longer remember who I am. And everything goes dark.

Dazia was born again.
