137 A Fool So Careless

Machia, the guardian of the Northern Mountains, lived in the kingdom of Beorene long before the deities reached the Center Realm. His existence was a gift from Norlund with a reason and story that no one knows until now. But what we know is that the creature is a gift to extend peace and honesty throughout the land. 

The creature's eyes hold the most power. It can see the truth in everyone, and it can choose to destroy those that are dishonest in the most brutal way. 

The branches that extend from Machia's shoulders could grab ahold of any being. It has pin-like thorns that stab through the skin, and through it, Machia can see the history of any creature he puts to a test. 

"Are you saying that Machia stabbed me with tiny pins?" I exclaimed in utter shock. I planted both my hands on the table, staring at Ducan, who looks unamused with wide eyes.
