60 Investigation

One of my assistants had informed me about a particular carriage arriving in town, so I headed over to the landing area for them right away. I couldn't wait to finally get to see my students again. Without them things have been quite boring around here. Hmm I really took a liking to those kids, unlike ever before.

But my happy mood soon vanished once I got a glance on Emilia's face. Her look basically told a story, a tragic one at that. Their overall silence towards me further confirmed my first thoughts. Something bad must have happened.

The students got out of the carriage one by one, first Iris, then Emilia, then Althaia, then Julian, then Lander and then…

I waited for a bit for the last person to come out, but nothing exited it. The students all avoided my gaze and so I took a look inside the carriage.
