5 A New Place On Earth

Hundreds of billions of light-years away from Earth, in another galaxy.

Isolated in the infinite black void, an old man with long white hair was calmly meditating. Around him, thousands of stars emitted a scorching blue light. However, he was unaffected by it.

Suddenly, the man opened his eyes: they were as bright as the stars.

[Why would anyone steal that broken world? It seems he didn't know how to take control of the world. How careless, he probably suffered a backlash.]

With this thought in mind, the man realized all the benefits he could earn by taking advantage of that stupid God. He had lived long enough to understand that, in this universe, the strong preyed on the weak.

"Niyanyu, come here!" he called out loud.

Immediately, a formless black shadow appeared in front of him. Although it was impossible to distinguish its face or gender, the blurry figure was twice the size of a normal human being.

"Yes, Master." A hoarse and thick voice answered his call.

"Do you remember where I left my useless world?" The old man asked.

"Your failure that we should not talk about?" The shadow answered.

The old man furrowed his brows at that.

"I didn't mean it. Sorry, master!" The blurry figure bowed.

"Never mind. Someone stole it, even though that thing was useless I want you to investigate." He waved his hand to dismiss the shadow. "I hope that you can deal with it!"

The old man closed his eyes again, with a slight smile on his face.

Back to Earth,

Above the biggest savanna, a red-haired man was walking through the clouds. As the sunlight reflected the redness of his hair, Leo's figure shone as a majestic angel - or a demon with no wings.

[I can't even remember the last time he gave me a task. How should I proceed?] He smiled as reminisced about the past.

Lost in his thoughts, he gazed over the horizon and felt the Qi increasing all over the planet.

[This place is really intriguing. How they were able to build such a society, even the government affairs are different here!?]

Leo had spent decades investigating everything that this world had to offer, from its history and to their technology. And so, he had a pretty decent understanding about its people.

[It seems some of them will notice the denser Qi. But I'm not sure if that is what master wants, he clearly stated to spread the techniques.]

Without noticing he came down from the clouds and was closer to the huge savanna. Below him, a pack of lions was eating their prey. Weirdly, one of them had a red mane and golden eyes.

[Even though this world is a bit smaller, now it can be classified as a Mortal World, so I think it's better to introduce techniques corresponding to that level.]

A plan began to form in his mind as he recalled how the Worlds were classified.

Usually, the world could range from Mortal World as the lowest and reach God World as the highest, albeit he knew that there were ranks even higher. The rating took into account the quantity and quality of natural energy (also known as Qi), the size and also the beings that lived in the world.

Just minutes ago Earth was an unclassified world - also called a failed one - because it was deemed to destroy itself with the lack of natural energy.

Now that the Tree of Life had been properly born, the world stabilized and evolved into a Mortal one. Even though the beings weren't strong enough and the world was still smaller than most, the energy quality and quantity was slightly higher because of its master.

As Leo was lost in thought, the animals down below were looking with interest to him. Hyenas, gazelles, zebras, giraffes, and lions were looking up with curiosity. They've never seen a human flying.

At that time, to impose his mightiness, the red maned lion started to roar loudly.

Caught by surprise, the roar snapped Leo out of his thoughts.

[Oh! What an unexpected seed here.]

Leo looked down to the lion's eyes, they were the exact same color as his.

[It seems that you have a similar bloodline as mine.]

"Well, Angareus never said that I should take a human as my disciple, right?" He spoke to no one.

At that thought, the red haired man smiled with pleasure and released his aura.

Suddenly, the clouds were expelled, the sky turned red and the sun turned golden! As if an invisible wall crashed down on the animals, they prostrated heavily on the ground. Fear and admiration was visible on their faces.

For a moment, the red maned lion tried to resist but was unsuccessful. Yet, there was no fear in its eyes, only admiration and desire.

"I'm here to announce that from this day onward will be the turning point to all the animals!" His voice filled the sky. "I'll be responsible to lead you to a bright new future, one that you will be able to grow stronger and fight!"

He cared not what they thought, the animals weren't yet evolved to understand his meaning and so he had to imprint the idea directly to their mind.

"And you…" Leo pointed to the lion, which disappeared and immediately reappeared in front of himself. "You'll be a direct disciple of mine from now on!"

The lion looked at him with reverence.

"You shall be named Chiyo-Saja, which means the fierce lion!"

The red lion, now named Chiyo, lowered its head - similar to what humans referred to as bowing.

Without waiting any longer, Leo put his newest disciple behind him and raised his right hand to the air.

Immediately, his aura increased ten-fold. Fortunately for the animals, it wasn't aimed at them, but the floor below.

The dried soil trembled once again.

Suddenly, hundreds of thousands seeds sprouted from the ground. As Leo continuously released his Qi in the air, the buds grew at an alarming rate. Seconds later, it was already bigger than a human and it took shape of trees. But it didn't stop growing.

Moments later, Leo lowered his hand and the Qi stabilized. However, the environment around him wasn't the same anymore.

Trees bigger than the huge Sequoia - the biggest tree on Earth - took most of the savanna. Those 'new-born' trees were actually twice the size of the Sequoia, and its circumference bypassed 30 meters! If that wasn't shocking enough, its leaves were a mixture of blue, green and yellow. Because of that, when the sunlight shone through the treetops, it created a scene that gave the trees their names: The Twilight Heavenly Tree.

Within the new forest the brightness was similar to that of sunset or sunrise, with a variety of beautiful colors.

"Ah, our trees have certainly made this world more beautiful, haven't they, my dear?" The man sighed and spoke to himself reminiscing of the past.

He went down and put his feet on the tall grass, which was now lush green and higher than his knees. Leo knew he had turned the soil rich and it would eventually grow plants that didn't belong to this world.

"This forest shall be our Sacred Place! Until I say otherwise, all animals should go to the center of this jungle and any kind of killing is prohibited!" This time, he had used his incredible aura to spread his meaning to the whole continent. "No humans will be able to enter here until I say otherwise!"

Roars, growls, and screeches filled the forest. The animals ran freely, enjoying their new living place. The forest had even denser Qi than outside and the resources were abundant, therefore they would not need food for sometime.

To an animal, the cultivation process was different from humans, they knew how to do it by instinct! However, there used to be no Qi on Earth and now it was only a matter of time before they had a significant rise in strength and vitality.

However, Leo also knew that this place would be stormed by humans in a matter of time. Yet, that was within his calculations: Humans had to realize the importance of the cultivation as soon as possible.

[I really want to see their faces when they discover that it's impossible to cut the trees with their weak machines!] He laughed maliciously thinking about it.

Turning around he found his newest disciple looking at him fervently.

"Alright, alright! I'll teach you a thing or two now. But be warned that you'll be tasked to protect this place until the animals are a bit stronger, okay?"

Chiyo-Saja opened his mouth in a way that could be interpreted as a smile.

"You better nor disappoint me, boy."

Leo waved his hand and soon they disappeared from sight.

**************************

Hundreds of kilometers from there, still in the African continent, a little brown kid was playing in the batted soil. He constantly threw rocks at the nearest tree and his aim was spot on. The houses around were constructed with wood and clay, he lived in one of the oldest tribes around.

As he walked over to the tree to get back his stones, a red object caught his eyes. A weird red book with even stranger gold symbols on its cover lay between the stones. The boy was immediately drawn to the book, and as he looked at the cover, like magic a few words came to his mind:

[Red Sun Body Cultivation Technique].

But before he could open it, huge tremors emerged. The kid was stunned for a moment, but held the book tightly under his chest and started to run towards the village. He knew what the tremors meant: A stampede of wild animals!

Running through the shacks he saw the adults packing their stuff and helping the children. Some had scared faces looking to the west. From afar, the boy could see a massive horde of wild animals was driving to the north, elevating a huge cloud of sand.

It wasn't sure if they were coming in their direction but if not, it would be close. Still, what shocked the natives wasn't only the massive group but the fact that it was composed of more species: they could even see predators and prey running side by side. Even all types of eagles and birds were accompanying from above.

What the hell was going on? Where were they going? Were they running away from something?
