The fast typing of a keyboard can be heard in multiple rooms at the same time. Reason why? The 100th floor of the dungeon in the new MMORPG 'AETHER'.
"Fast! Keep moving!"
"Need HEAL!" "Where's the damage?"
Multiple scream could be heard in a certain persons headphone.
[In game]
It's a dimly lit room. But even though it was very dark something stood in the spotlight of them all. A huge dragon. Pitch black scales. Red eyes and flames surrounding it. But this wasn't the only things in the room. Thirteen players were constantly running around , casting spells , dodging attacks and all were here for the same reason. The final boss.
"Lion's protection!"
"Firestorm!"
"Fifth Path: Hellborn "
All diffrent classes could be seen up against the boss. Knights , Paladins in the front protecting everyone from the damage. Rogue , Swordsman and other trying their best to dodge and deal damage. And the backline. The reason why knights and paladins were important in this game. To protect the backline. Healers , magicians , alchemists and ranger. The highest damage was coming from them. Even if you try to nuke[1] the bosses , you will die before that.
The boss HP[2] was slowly going down and it was already several minutes in the fight. The question was , if everyone has enough potions to survive this long fight.
"Don't slow down! If we keep it going like this we'll defeat the Dragon!" , a deep , manly voice sounded out. The vice-leader of the guild cried out ran in front of the rogue next to him.
"Light Shield!"
A transparent , white shield appeared before both of them blocking the incoming attack. The rogue thanked him before turning around and disappearing with the spell "Stealth".
Yoshihiro Teramura is his name or rather known as "Yosh". A fast climber in the ranks.

A paladin focused on protection and holy blessing. This way of building is considered one of the best tank builds in the game. With high stats in Defense , Magic Resistance and HP with the combination of spells and team buffs[3] , one of the most needed characters for raids.
His personal attribute is {Shield Break}. It increases your overall tank stats[4] but decreases your speed. When it's activated , you can't use your shield anymore but all increased stats through this ability will be converted into Strenght. This made him a one of the best raiders in the game because the moment the boss his vulnerable his damage is extremly high while thoughout the raid he can tank all damage necessary.
"Good Job!"
This was Kiyoumi Inamori. He's one of the higher ranking of the guild. A godlike ranger.

Ranger class. Basically using bows , crossbows as main weapon. But there are multiple types of rangers. One being the tamer taming monstous beasts while taking cover and attacking from afar. Second the trapmaster using traps to catch people while hiding in the terrain around them. But he Kiyoumi or rather known as "Inamori" in the game is a crossbow master. Using two crossbows to continually do damage and dodging damage.
His build increases his Attack Speed and Crit Chance enourmasly and his personal attribute {Sniper}. It increases your range and if you hit weak points of the boss your damages triples instead of the normal double. But it also has special skills with can't be overlooked.
He is most known from the 1vs1 arena where he nearly never lost but in raids his damage always comes in the first or second place.
Everything seemed to be going as planned but:
"Pull back! Tanks to the front protect the backline!" a loud voice was heard.
Everyone did as followed but then it happened.
"Shit , it hit me!" screamed someone.
"Joey was hit!" , "No!" , "It's impossible!" everyone shouted.
"Keep in formation!"
Everyone suddenly turned around and there he was standing the guild leader and founder. Hirosada Tomura or known as "Hiro". Everyone became encouraged and ran to their assigned places.
"What about Naori?!" someone suddenly asked while pointing towards a girl.
Her name is Naori Tsubochi or simple "Naori". A supporter ranked 2 in raids and PVE[4].
She's considered as one of the best supporters with high healing and buffs from her personal attribute {Enchanter}. It gives her a lot of buffing abilities and you're able to use unique Equipment.
"I'll cover."
The guild leader ran towards her but now the boss HP bar turned red. Most bosses fight would take a new form or change the fighting style. But the Final Boss was considered as one of them. These bosses were the most dangerous because when they enrage , they would make activate a skill which might kill everyone in one go. Nowdays people know that they need a good frontline with a lot of buffs and shields and everyone will survive but before people used players who could absorb damage to block everything and sacrifice them for these fights.
The dragon who before didn't moved stood up and his ruby-like eyes swept through the crowded players. It raised it's head towards the ceiling of the dark cave and spread it wings in a majestic manner. It flew above the heads of everyone and opened it's mouth.
"IT'S COMMING!"
Multiple giant meteors fell from the sky together with the apocalyptic dragon's breath. Screams were heard. Left and right people were dying in the end.
"Activate {Personal Skill: Sacrificial Shield}"
The man infront of Naori used one of his last remaining efforts. A shield covered both of them holding their ground against the wave of destruction.
"Activate {Personal Skill: Last Standing}"
{Last Standing} ,Naori's self created buff. This spell deplets your current MP gauge[5] and will create a shield proportianol to the MP taken away ,while buffing every stat. This shield and buffs will hold on for five seconds and the caster will regain MP proportianol to the taken damage.
The dragon kept breathing out storms of fires until it collapsed on the ground.
"Activate {Shield Break}!"
"{Sniper's Last}!"
"{Enhance: Emerald Sword}!"
"Activate {Personal Skill: Dragon-Slaying Riser}!"
All spells hit their target in it's most vulnerable state. They kept firing all of their spells until it ended.

[1] Nuke something: A term used in some games when you try to deal as much damage as possible to clear the boss faster (only dmg dealer)
[2] HP: Health points
[3] Buffs/ buffing someone: increasing stats/give certain positive effects to someone
[4] PVE: Players vs Environment/Monsters , contrary to PVP (Player vs Payer)
[5] MP: Mana points/Mana pool
