56 Wedding Day

Myra thought a long time about who to invite to their wedding, but with her status as a princess it would be really hard to keep it to just her family and friends. She didn't want to offend people before they even started their kingdom.

"It's just a big party anyways. I guess." she mumbled to herself. To Myra, the commitment was a lot more important than the event surrounding it.

In the end she decided not to let 'her sister' Mairi appear, because she wanted to really get rid of that farce permanently. She initially created the disguise to protect herself, but it did not look like it was necessary anymore.

Instead she would do her best to find out where her real sister, or at least adopted sister Lynn was and invite her.

She had not seen Lynn for several years now and she looked forward to seeing her again, not to mention that she was curious how much her sister had changed.

Her adoptive parents, as well as the emperor would also join them, as would Ethan and Aron her other siblings. Now that she thought about that other older brother, Myra had to grin. He had such a similar name to her soon to be husband, but they had completely different personalities.

While Aaron was cold and unapproachable, tough and unforgiving, Aron was more like Liam, a friendly and kind scholar and bookworm who would rather hide somewhere and go out of his way to avoid a confrontation.

"Right, Aaron's grandma will also be there. I wonder what she will be like, we never got to meet her."

Obviously all their friends would be there and Alyn, as would be many of their acquaintances or direct subordinates like Yannis and Zora. Lady Amelia and the Duke of Heliphos were invited as well as were the kids from her new school.

She thought about the list in her mind once more. 'Did I forget someone? I probably did, but Liam and Alyn will surely fix it for me!'

Obviously there would also be a lot of relatives, aunts and cousins and then all kinds of nobles who would appear. It wasn't a closed ceremony and as long as people wanted to take a look they could, but Myra didn't feel like she would write invitations for each of them as such she only sent out invitations to those people who were important to her or Aaron in some way.

She made some exceptions for her friends, if they wanted to invite someone that was fine as well.

Alyn seemed a little bit depressed about the fact that their Celestial Archers were now already well known before she could put them into some pretty ceremonial armor and show them off properly for the first time.

It was hard to prevent anyone from noticing them when their training grounds were right next to a tower with several thousand people working on it and word got out quickly.

--

When the day of the wedding finally arrived, Myra was as nervous as one could be. She fiddled with her dress and hair making sure for the hundredth time that everything was in place.

"How do I look?" she asked Alyn who rolled her eyes.

"Myra, you asked me that for probably the tenth time already. You look fine, calm down!"

Myra once more inspected her dress and did her best to follow Alyn's advice, but it was really hard.

Alyn had already helped her with the little bit of makeup that was added, but it was just a touch of it, keeping her face mostly with its natural look. She felt a lot more comfortable this way rather than having lots of makeup and over the top clothes that would just make her stumble.

Even her shoes were elegant but nearly totally flat. None of these 'heeled traps' for her on a day she wanted to enjoy.

The dress was mostly black, with dark red accents and was matching her hair and eyes. It was floor length, but not long to the point where it would have to be dragged around with parts on the ground.

While it looked simple, with its silhouette narrowly shaped, hugging her body, it was actually rather exceptional, both when it came to the fabric, as well as all the enchantments that were layered and cast on it.

Like many of Myra's other clothes, it was sleeveless, with the full black fabric gradually turning more and more into lace along the shoulders and showing off quite a bit of her back.

Myra's hair was open and falling down her back, as if to hide what was revealed by the dress, her hair was being held together a little by several black and dark red ribbons that were added to it.

"Everything is ready, no need to worry little one."

When Myra heard her mother, who was likely here to pick her up, she got even more nervous.

With the mage tower not finished and no road built there yet, it was obvious that they would marry in Silverspire. As the palace seemed the only fitting place for a princess that was exactly where they were heading to.

Some still wanted to convince them to wait some more time, until Aaron could get some noble title as well, but they didn't really bother about it anymore. Those who even mentioned it, were usually not really close to Myra anyways.

With power like Myra's, it was easy enough to ignore usual traditions and as no one in her family had any issues with Aaron not having any titles at all, there was not even a real discussion.

Their procession was rather spectacular on its own. They were flanked by a guard of riders on phantom cats while a whole group of Celestial Archers were flying through the sky.

People were staring and pointing as if they were in a dream.

"Look, those are all magical beasts!" – "Of course there are, or have you ever seen people riding panthers?"

"How can these people all fly? Does princess Myra have a guard full of skylords?"

"Must be, the only people who can fly are skylords really. But there are so many of them!"

"It has to be the group they call Myra's Angels!" – "I've heard their real name should be Celestial Archers."

"Those are archers? They don't even wear bows?"

Their escort caused all kinds of talk among the population.

Finally arriving and seeing Aaron, who looked a little bit nervous himself, which was totally unusual for him, Myra had to grin.

"He looks nervous, for Aaron that is rather unusual." she whispered to her mother and both of them shared a smile.

'The old woman standing next to Aaron is likely his grandma.' Myra thought and got a little bit nervous.

When Myra's stare was noticed and the old woman smiled back at her, she relaxed a lot. 'Well she does look rather kind, I guess it will be fine.'

Even though the ceremony itself was already shortened to a very minimum, with all the unnecessary words said, with the welcomes and title calling, it still took a long time.

All her family and friends were here and she was happy like never before.

'They all came here just for this moment.' she thought to herself and a few tears made their way into her eyes. 'Even Lynn is here.'

She got a lot of hugs from family and friends and a lot of words of encouragement and reminders to stay calm, not be nervous and heartfelt congratulations. Everything seemed unusual but perfect for her. Even their priestess was unusual, but Myra enjoyed that her wedding was so unique.

It was highly unusual to have a Priestess of Reia leading a wedding ceremony, but as Lady Dhalia was a friend and the her Goddess was after all a Goddess of Chaos, which included emotions like love as well, it wasn't as far-fetched as it might have been.

Myra could hardly remember, when she said "Yes." She was just too lost in Aaron's loving eyes. She heard him say yes, she heard herself say yes, but her focus seemed just on his eyes and his smiling face.

The rings they exchanged were the same as the pendant that was made for Rae, it contained a little bit of spirit and would enable them to contact each other even over long distances at any time.

"Mommy!" the happy call shook Myra out of her stupor and she picked up the laughing girl.

"Your mommy got a real husband now!" she told the little child and soon Rae wanted to get a hug from Aaron as well. "I got a beautiful wife and an adorable kid, I guess I'm a lucky man." He agreed.

"Aaron." Myra mumbled in the middle of receiving congratulations and gifts of all kind. "Yes? What's on your mind, my dear wife?"

"Can't we just … leave right away? I don't want to bother about all the people right now. We can talk with our friends and family a little later, or tomorrow, but I really don't want to waste a day by shaking hands with all kinds of strangers."

Aaron grinned happily. "If that's what my wife wants, I'm sure we can do that. Rae, go let mommy hold you for a moment." He picked both of them up and soon they were flying away from the palace.

Everyone was shocked and alarmed that the bride and groom would suddenly leave, but Myra's friends just laughed, expecting something like this already. They even reassured Myra's parents and Aaron's grandma that everything was alright.

--

Myra and Aaron spent the day visiting one village and city after the next as if on a sightseeing tour. They bought some sweets on the way, went shopping and relaxed at the most beautiful scenic spots.

When they returned to Silverspire, to their home above Celestial Armaments it was already late in the evening. They found a little message crystal at their door with a short information from Alyn, that they would make sure their parents had proper accommodations and would meet them in the morning for breakfast.

"Looks like we have the night all for ourselves." Aaron said and Myra could see that his smirk this time was definitely lewd.

"Mhm, we do. Let me put this sleeping bundle of a child to bed first."

Myra quickly put Rae to sleep and then returned to their own bedroom.

"This decoration is definitely new." she commented as she found the whole room decorated with all kinds of flower petals and ribbons.

"It is our wedding day after all." Aaron's words made her blush, before she made sure the door was closed and they were alone. She even cast a little spell to prevent any of the phantom cats from 'peeking' into their room.

"I guess it's a good time for spending the night together in more than one way?" Myra asked shyly.

"Only if you want to." Was his reply and Myra smiled. "Well, I already said yes, might as well do things properly." her grin this time wasn't any less lewd than Aaron's.

It was a lot faster to get out of the dress, than it was to get into it. Usually they would have played a little bit and hugged and cuddled when they were still wearing their clothes, but Myra didn't want to dress to get damaged.

With Aaron's gaze on her like this, she was happy that she decided to get some underwear that was as sexy as the one he gifted her during their dance.

"So pretty." she heard him say and smiled happily, before they both cuddled up under the sheets, taking their time to enjoy their wedding night to the fullest.

It did not take long until the sexy underwear was forgotten and at the side of the bed and even the sweet whispered words and kisses were just the beginning of their new lives as husband and wife.
