4 The beautiful Lotus necklace and MY EYES!!!

"Yueliang why are you acting so distant? We're still sisters aren't we?" Jiao probed.

"Of course Jiao we're the best of sisters…" Yueliang almost couldn't hold back her disgust for her 'precious sister' and wanted to puke but she managed to keep her calm and happy façade.

She wasn't as naïve and green to be once again manipulated and schemed against.

"Right! Oh, I prepared a gift for you!" Jiao pulled out a big gorgeous Lotus necklace.

The necklace was patterned with unique, intricate designs and the jade in the necklace intertwined with gold in a simplistic yet elegant manner to create a blooming lotus which highlighted the jewels in the centre of the lotus. The central part of the necklace was encrusted with a multitude of coloured gems that's radiance could be described as stars or even a rainbow from how brightly it shined and appeared. It was a truly beautiful necklace.

Yueliang grimaced and inwardly sneered but she quickly suppressed her rage and disappointment, faking an awed and surprised expression and said,

"Wow! For me? You really are the best sister ever!"

Yueliang knew what this necklace was and what events would take place.

'The same despicable tricks but this time it won't work' Yueliang thought.

Jiao secretly mocked Yueliang in her heart.

'That bitch is really dumb! Look how she goes all giddy and crazy after seeing a necklace! She doesn't deserve Shiulan! That position is only reserved for me!'

Yueliang accepted the necklace and went inside to get away from her sister, entering the garden.

'Still the same house…'

Yueliang stared at the structure and architecture of the home, no her home.

She admired its uniqueness and splendour. It carried a sense of belonging and felt familiar and she liked it. It was a 3-story villa with an enormous, lush garden at the front of the house, adding to the entire picturesque scene of the home whilst also enhancing the magnificence of it. Entering the villa, she immediately ran towards her old room.

She had finally reached her room door after going up a flight of stairs and going down a hallway. Yueliang's heart was racing as she willed herself to open the door, entering with a nervous heart.

'It really is my room…'

She ran her fingers over her hard, wooden desk and pictures that she had kept in her room. She stared at one particular picture with her, her mom and her dad. They were looking at the camera with Yueliang's hands wrapped around her parents, with the brightest smile in the world.

'I look so happy in this photo but something seems off…'

She carefully examined the photo for a few more moments before dismissing the weird sensation, placing the photo back to its original position. The photo was completely fine but it looked ever so slightly different from how it had looked before her reawakening or time travel.

Yueliang lied down on her king-sized bed before glancing at her mirror at the other end of the room.

An expression of shock replaced her previous composed face.

'My… my eyes…?'

Yueliang lifted her hands and brought it to her face and pinched herself. Hard.

"Oww!" Yueliang exclaimed whilst caressing and rubbing her sore skin, still staring directly to her eyes.

'My eyes have changed…?'

Yueliang gawked at her reflection in the mirror, staring at her now golden eye.

Yueliang was born with a rare condition which had changed her eye colour.

She inherited her family's red iris but had also gotten a silver iris as well due to a rare chance but in her previous life, which she never really minded because everyone she met had told her it had just made her image more beautiful and unique. However, now she was really confused.

'How… What?!'

Yueliang felt as if she was suffering from hallucinations but the ever apparent sting from pinching herself reassured her that she wasn't suffering from a dream or a hallucination.
