15 Fighting evil by moonlight
I hadn't slept more than a few hours before waking up to gunshots. I can sleep through many sounds, gunshots were not one of them. I hopped out of the blimp and floated down towards the sound.
Looking down at the scene below made my blood boil. A Bludhaven cop had shot two kids dead and was about to shoot two more.
I dropped down and landed in front of the kids, shielding them with my body right before the cop shot off his gun. The bullet hit me and I barely felt it as it flattened to my skin. I picked the bullet off and chucked it to the side.
I looked at the fuckin' good for nothing pig in front of me with anger. "What are you doing?" I asked
I wanted to be sure I knew what was actually happening before I acted. This is the DCAU, those kids could be demons, skin walkers, clay monsters, etc. It's foolish to just assume you know the situation you just became aware of. Although I was 99% sure this cop was a bastard, I didn't want to act without caution.
Right after asking my question the cop unloaded his clip on me, which in itself answered my question. This guy was exactly the scum I thought he was.
The bullets didn't phase me. I walked up to the cop, grabbed his gun, melted it with ki, and then picked the cop up and flew away with him, leaving the kids to themselves for now.
I knocked the cop out with a small hit to his head and then flew to my temporary blimp home with him. After seeing a cop shooting young street children in cold blood, I decided right then that this is the place I would call home. This place is in desperate need of a Hero. I thought to myself "System Title Royalty perk Domain" and a system prompt popped up.

DOMAIN PERKS:
An upgradable home that is only visible to you and the people you want to see it. The house will appear in the middle of the city. The upgrades can be bought with store coins.
Host can deny entry of Moonlight City to other heroes, while anyone else is free to walk in and out as they wish.
Host can make an announcement to the city once a month. Everyone in the city will hear what you have to say.
DOMAIN PERKS GIVEN RANDOMLY BASED ON CITY NAME:
Host can heal faster and accumulate ki easier under a full moon while the non criminal citizens of the city will have a small healing factor.
Moonlight city and host will seem more attractive under a Harvest Moon and the dead of the innocent that died within the city can roam the streets and visit loved ones in ghost form.
Crescent moons will appear closer to the city than in any other places on earth and the surrounding stars will be more visible.

Tonight was a crescent moon. The change was immediate. The whole city lit up by the moon and looked completely different.
The moon looked like I could touch it If I just got a little closer. Down below I saw many people looking up at the sky perplexed and in awe at the sight. Every place that moonlight touched seemed to sparkle and glow.
It was like the whole city was suddenly magic. Sure, it was just a cosmetic, but the night had never looked so beautiful to me before. With a magic night like this and the crowded night streets below, I felt compelled to sing, but chose not to. Instead I decided to test out the city announcement domain perk.
"Citizens of Moonlight City, My name is Moonlight Knight. When the Moon is full, I will heal you. when there is a harvest moon, I will go up to heaven and bring the innocent down to you for the night. When I am near and able, I will protect you. These are my promises to you".
I paused for a second to let my words marinate and then continued.
"Criminals of Moonlight City, the people fear you, the police work with you, and the heroes ignore you. That will start to change after tonight. If you commit a serious crime in this city, you run the chance of running into me from now on and i'm not as nice as most of the other heroes you know of".
I ended the broadcast and then picked up the cop from before and slapped him awake. I then flew him to the front of the police station.
"What are you doing? I'm a police officer. Who do you think you are?" The cop said as we landed. I immediately crushed his right hand in my palm. His scream was so loud it attracted the attention of the police inside the station and they all started coming out to investigate.
A few of the cops came running out with their guns drawn upon seeing someone they know being tortured. "LET GO OF THE OFFICER, PUT YOUR HANDS ABOVE YOUR HEAD, STEP AWAY, AND THEN LAY ON YOUR STOMACH WITH YOUR HANDS BEHIND YOUR BACK!"
I ignored them and then crushed the cops other hand. Immediately the cops started shooting. I ignored the bullets as they bounced off of me and started speaking.
"This cop killed two young kids on 42nd street that were not a threat to him. If I see a cop do something like this in the future, I won't be as nice as I was today. Put him behind bars, if I see him on the street again, I'll be back in a less happier mood than I currently am"
Unlike the Marvel world, the big heroes of this world do not kill. I would have killed the guy, but I need to play by the rules if I don't want the whole Justice League against me in the future. I also want to keep my Justice League founder title. Breaking the cops hands and throwing him in jail should be enough for now. Hopefully justice will be served.
After making an example of the cop and saying my piece, I flew to the center of the city to view my new house the system provided me through my Royalty title.
