You Saved Me

Later that day, two high school students were walking on the street from school.

"Hey I gotta run off to work and you to Akira" she said as she waved her friend goodbye.

"See you later Hanami" she said back to her friend as she watched her cross the road to a restaurant on the other side.

Akira Takahashi, a high school student walked briskly to her part time job. All of a sudden a car zoomed past her in speed and unfortunately hit another car coming in front. Before she knew what was happening, it tumbled multiple times and fell upside down a few inches from where she stood.

The car driver was unconscious while the person in the passenger's seat was hitting the door trying to get out.

"Oh my goodness" she said to herself as the whole scenero was quite shocking for her. Snapping out of her reverie, she rushed to the car and tried helping the man get out but his seat belt was stuck. Soon the fuel started leaking out.

She sniffed the air and caught the smell of fuel, "Damn it."

"Young girl hurry save the driver. He is unconscious" the man suggested.

Quickly she ran to the other side and tried dragging the driver through the window, lucky for her his seat belt wasn't stalk, so it was an easy fit.

She successfully dragged him out and some distance away from the car, then rushed back to where the other man was. She searched her bag and brought out a razor blade and started cutting the seat belt.

"Save yourself, leave me alone young girl."

"Almost there" she muttered under her breath.

"Go, the car would soon explode" the man yelled at her.

"I won't leave you" she kept on cutting and finally she cut it, she quickly dragged him out of the car, through the window. Just some feet away from the car, it exploded.

"Boom!!"

The explosion pushed her some meters away and she fell face forward on the ground.

"Call an ambulance quick!!"

"Oh my, she really was brave."

"Where are the fire fighters, thought they've been called."

"Akira!!" Hanami screamed her name when she saw her friend on the ground.

People around quickly called the fire fighters and in no time they came to the scene. Some passersby stood watching with shock and panic clearly written on their faces. Before they knew it an ambulance arrived.

"I need to call auntie" Hanami said and rushed to get her phone.

Akira and the two men were placed on stretchers and carried into the ambulance and it zoomed off. By the time she came out from the restaurant, the ambulance was gone.

In the hospital, a woman rushed to the receptionist and started asking questions.

"Please my daughter was rushed in here an hour ago. Please where is she" the lady said with panic written all over.

"Okay, Miss Takahashi?"

"Yes, yes she's the one" she replied hurriedly.

"Go to the second floor, room 10."

"Thank you" the lady rushed to the second floor and in a couple of minutes was in front of the said room. She stopped abruptly, took in a deep breathe then turned the door knob.

As soon as she opened the door, she saw her daughter lying on the bed with a drip connected to her hand and she burst into tears.

"Akira... How did you... " she started weeping uncontrollably as she goes to her daughter's side.

"Mother, stop crying. You're not a baby you know."

"How can I stop crying when I was about to lose my only child. What would I have done if I had lost you?" Her mother asked her indirectly.

"Nothing mother."

"What?" She said in between sobs.

"I said nothing, because you didn't lose me mother. I'm fine."

"Ohh Akira... " she leaned in for a hug and hugged Akira, after some seconds she tightened the hug.

"Hey mum, you... you're squeezing me mum. Mum!!" she called out louder. It was then her mother finally released her.

"Jeez mum" she sees her mother pout, "eww, mum you're not a kid you know. Stop doing that."

"Oh come on, where's the fun in being such a tight ass. Loosen up a little. Its no wonder I don't see any boy around you."

"..." Her mouth hung open as she stared at her mother with disbelieving eyes.

"What? It's the truth. You need to start acting lady like and not like the boss of everyone."

They heard a knock on the door and both turned their heads almost at the same time to see who was at the door.

The door opened and a man pop his head in, "Sorry to disturb Miss Takahashi, may I come in?"

"Yes" her mother replied eagerly, ushering him in.

"Thank you. You are... ?" He asked looking at her mum.

"I am Mrs Takahashi, Akira's mum" she introduced herself.

"Nice to meet you ma, I get to meet the mother of this brave girl. You must be brave as well" he said complimenting her.

Akira was shocked to see her mum flushed as she replied shyly, "No, I'm not."

"Yes you are" he said again, not giving her a chance to back away from his compliment.

"Well if you say so" her mum replied, finally falling for his charms.
