4 Chapter Four

I shivered, whoever said that to the alpha knew what they were doing. They also want revenge like me. Well one of us will get it the other will live with the satisfaction of the others revenge. I don't think they know about me though. If they did they would try to block me. Shaking my head I go back to paying attention to the conversation.

"Alpha, what are we going to do?!".

"Who even was that!!?".

"WHAT'S GOING ON?!". I knew that voice, he was from earlier. I didn't like him but I liked his sister.

"Look I don't know and I don't want to know" Odd it went silent. I pricked my ears and noticed the alpha's breathing irregular. UGH, I hate not being able to see.

"Why haven't we heald yet?" I asked the girls.

"We should've healed by now" I look between them as they enter the area. Midnight looks down while Night looked anywhere but me. Getting suspicious again I slowly walk towards them.

"We might be forever blind" Midnight replies slowly. I stand there shocked, never get my eyesight back...

"Nope, we will get it back, we just have to run away." I say making my decision. Their jaws dropped to the moon and back. I shook my head at them as they stared. These girls are ridicules for giving up so easily. I pay attention to the real world at the worst possible time.

"So pack, what's a stupid normal wolf doing in our territory?" He said it so calmly that I had to do a double take. Carolina literally growls at her father. It demanded respect and obedience, uho, bad timing I shall say. I decide to take over before a challenge happens. Stalking forward I growl, low and threateningly. All the others except for that random teen had waves giddiness. They may not know how smart I am but they know I am smart.

"Dad, she's just a wolf that got struck by lightning, she's blind." He tried to get his dad to do something but his dad wasn't having it.

"Would someone care to tell me how a wolf got stuck by lightning and is still alive?"he growled.

"Because I saved her." some one stated, the woman from earlier I think. The alpha just grunts not wanting to fight with his wife. I reached him now and started circling him. My eyes were closed but my other senses made up to give me what I needed.

"Rowyn, you don't know how to fight." Nightingale warned me. I merely told her off and finished my circle.

"You want to go little doggy, huh, you may be able to have my wife safe you from lightning but you won't be able to have her save you from me. This will decide if I can let a normal wolf like you stay in my territory. I just rolled my eyes and sat on my haunches. The pack had waves of worry coming off them even the teen. Carolina also was using the mind link to talk to her mom. The alpha walked a bit away from me, probably accessing my weaknesses. The weaknesses that I know he will find are

I'm a normal wolf

I am blind

I don't know about anything else. I wait, he gets frustrated, probably thinks that I have no clue what I got myself into. Then I hear it the one sound I heard for so long. The throw of a knife, I quickly move to the side. He has to practice with a moving target now, no more miss nice wolf. Shaking out my fur I sit on my haunches again.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I've been dodging knife after knife after knife. This was easy and I never got touched. Everybody was laughing with me, I was barking and howling happily and everyone had made food that I would snatch randomly. I wasn't getting tired I was using this as a practice for fighting. Learning how doge quickly while being agile. I don't think the alpha was angry that much, he was laughing along with the rest of group. He was getting a bit careless with his throws and of them had me right in front of the teen. I dodged it but that means I wasn't in the way to stop it from hitting the boy. I jump in front of the boy right when the knife stuck into my side.I fell onto him but quickly jumped down. It was silent. I reached my snout over my body and take the knife into my mouth. My black cout had red seeping through it so i shook my coat and walk over to the luna. I just lie down head up with my ears listening. The luna stifles a laugh as Carolina rushes to me fretting about this and that. The teen was talking to his father rather impolitely.

"-could've hurt me...saved me.....let stay."I only heard bits and pieces of it but I had more important things to think about.

"Ok we need to start training." I tell the girls. They look up from what they are doing (cards really).

"Why do we need to train? we can live here as a wolf until we die." Midnight asks. I shake my head at her.

"NO, I am Not being defenceless again. People will want to fight with me more and more and I need to prepare." I start pacing my mind going many thoughts per second. I suddenly stop

"I have a plan" and I walk away, or at least the best walkaway one can do inside their mind. I decide that now would be a good idea to rest.

~Later~

A face is the first thing I see when I wake up. Yes I mean it a F.A.C.E. I jumped up on the bed and yipped. Carolina was still sleeping so I carefully jumped over her. Her light golden hair fell down her face and she was a very pretty tan. Once leaving the room I look around taking in my surrounding that I haven't seen for about 12 years (I think) I go down the hallway to the kitchen and hop up onto the counter. I run over to the cupboard to see how much my world has changed. I glance around and sigh. Shaking out my fur I turn around to jump off when I get a bright idea.

"NO, please don't go there" begged Nightingale. I roll my eyes and head up stairs. I'm glad I look harmless enough but I have to see. Up the stairs I head all the way down the hall,my claws clicking on the hardwood floor. Walking to the closest I look around and listen to my senses.

Nothing.

I walk into the closet expecting the dungeon. There it is, the dungeon. I breathed deeply to see what I could smell.

ME.

My scent was everywhere. I walked along the dungeon doors. Hearing something freeze. The closet door was opening. I jump into a cell and hide in the corner. The person walks down the steps and along the cells quietly going to the very back. I freeze, that's the cell I've been kept in for all these years and someone was going straight for it.

"F***, where did she go, I thought she was dead! Oh crap, oh crap oh crap, wait, she was probably eaten and I'm just imagining things. The person nodes and starts walking back. I wish I could get a scent but my scent is everywhere. I want to go and move closer but that could risk detection. Sighing with my predicament I watch as the shadowy figure leaves. The door closes with a snap and I heave a sigh of relief. Crawling to the front of the cell I shiver as I hit a bone head. Jumping ahead I turn and head back to the cell. The cell the man went to....

Nope, nevermind I don't want to even get close to a cell that that man was afraid of. Racing to the door I listen for any sounds.

Safe.

I walk right through it as animals can. I exit and shiver as warm air blasts me. I don't mind warmth but I myself don't feel it. Yah I am messed up I know. trotting down stairs I strategically jump out a window dropping about 2-4 feet. landing on all fours I race to the edge of the forest thinking about how I am going to train. Circling the entire compound territory, I come across a narrow trail. It would only fit a small wolf like me. It's not a well worn trail, in fact, it looks like it's been barely used;foliage covers the ground and thorns circle the entrance. I jump through and just barley miss the thorns. Following the trail I trot to a nice spot; people won't be able to see me working and yet i'll be able to see anybody and everybody coming close. Shaking loose my fur I shift into my human form. My red hair shining amber glints from the suns rays. I bend down making sure all my hair goes down, gather it together and put it into a high ponytail. To make sure it stays tight I put another two hair ties. Tightening it I straighten up my hair flipping over my head and tighten the pony tail again. (yah I know a bit lengthy but IDC) I decide to use my powers to make this more of a training area. Closing my eyes I take a deep breath and summon a few logs.

"Finally!" I sigh out. Looking at my masterpiece I decide to start training. With a little bit of magic I was able to have training dummies that actually move and all. I had weights that vary, and lots more 'equipment'.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------After training well into the afternoon I shift back into my wolf and look for a lake.

"Finally water!" Midnight and Nightingale shout inside my head at the same time. I groan as the take over and use my body to leap, swim, dive, jump, and other crazy things like that. For a good ten min I let they play around.

*SNAP*

We freeze.

Something was coming this way and I doubt they meant to snap a twig. I stuck my snout into the air and sniffed.

"ROUGES!" Night and I both shouted, then we ran. I raced up a tree and started jumping from branch to branch. Three rouges were on my tail and all wanted to eat me.

"Welp that's what I get for letting you guys take control." I tell the girls.

"Hey! don't blame us, you enjoyed it too." Midnight answered back.

"Umm, GUYS, We Don't Have Time To Be Bickering. We're being chased by Three.Different.Hungry.Rouges."Came nights angry and panicked reply to both of us.

I come back to reality right when we trip on a branch. Tumbling from branch to branch I try to figure out how to stop tumbling. The three rouges see their opening and try to climb the tree.

"Well that bought us some time, now how do we stop tumbling?"I ask Midnight because I am in her form.

"HMMM, well just think about it and you will stop" she says a matter of factly. I smack my head, of course it would be that easy.

*Stop tumbling.....and teleport me to the edge of *************.*

Surprise surprise, it works.

".....Umm that worked?" MIdnight looks dumbstruck.

"Yah you were right." I say grumbling and then her words catch up to me.

"Wait what do you mean 'that worked?' did you not actually think it would work." I shoot the question at her.

"YES,Yes, I knew it was going to work of course." She said a little to fast. I rolled my eyes at her terrible lying skills.

"Whatever it worked and I now know I can teleport. What's the best way to warn people that rouges are on their territory. OOO, I know. (smiling evilly)

*AWOOOOOOO, ARW ARW ARWOOOOO*

I hear the thundering sound of many feet running to where I sit. The first ones to get here look around for the source and a reason to that caused iit. The second group knowing the first group already got hear saw me as they weren't going as fast. Some rolled their eyes and called me an attention seeker other studied me. I shuffle around when people don't pay attention. THe only other way to get them to to know is to show them, since they won't pay attention to me I start nipping at them. A lot get mad after a bit and some try to catch me, Perfect. I run strait into the forest angering a lot of them. About ten follow me pretty angry so I start howling to make the rouges hear dinner (to them it's me). I start pacing trying to convey that I'm trying to show them something. Stupidly expected they don't pay attention. I start howling out to the ones that got left behind.
