13 12 | the hazy daze

Rebecca must have cleaned.

I felt John's presence from behind me and I did a quick gesture of ta-da as I slowly turn my body around, showing off the place.

"Neat."

Rolling my eyes at his comment, I walked over to the back room and took out the filled the laundry with our wet clothes. Turning them on, I rubbed my hands together before walking out and gestured for John to make himself at home.

He took a seat at one of the high chairs by the bar.

"So coffee's good?"

He nodded as his watchful eyes took note of the living room. It wasn't much, it was a student's apartment. It was a three-bedroom and two baths, with a balcony out in the living room. Rebecca and I decided to turn the third room into a study space/quiet space since we received quite a deal on the place because Rebecca's father owned the place.

A large black piano stood out in the living room.

"Here you go kind sir." I joked as I placed the coffee on the counter. He gave a thankful smile and watch me as I stir my own green tea.

It wasn't a secret as to how much I tried to keep a healthy lifestyle. But he didn't have to know it just yet.

"Do you not drink coffee?" He asks.

"Mmm. Nope. I do drink other caffeinated drinks but I prefer tea."

It was silent for a while as we both sipped on our drinks. His eyes glanced around again.

"Rebecca's not here." I blurted out as I realized he was actually watching out for someone to appear.

He mumbled a silent oh, his cheeks red again, before continued sipping on his coffee. Sighing internally, I wondered how would I figure out the guy in front of me. He blushes easily at the slightest touch, and yet when we both were at the dance floor basically hip to hip, he played with my body like a violin.

And then there was the other John who was casual and at ease with himself until we were at the store, it was John, John who resembled Sebastian so much, with the way he holds himself and the way he interacts with the employees.

The skies grumbled and a rumble of thunder crackled in the distance.

"You really enjoy looking out the window, huh?"

Blinking twice, I looked back at him. He was watching me, intently, studying me.

"Yeah" I breathed out, too surprised from his sharp gaze.

He softly smiled and leaned closer on the counter, interested. "Why?"

"It's easier to lose myself when I'm not exactly paying attention."

"Do you not want to give me attention?"

I didn't know what to say. And then there's this John. Unable to help myself, I placed my drink down before asking him the question I've been dying to ask.

"Who are you? Really?"

A guilty look passes him before he leans back, shutting himself off from me.

"I'm just me. Figuring it all out."

Walking closer to him, I faced him. We were now about the same height since he was seated and I was standing. Placing a hand on his left shoulder, I grasp his chin, needing to hold him and figure him out.

His steel-blue eyes met mine, and they almost rounded in lust. Licking my suddenly dry lips, we both stared at each other until I felt his arms go around me, hesitant, cautious almost.

I felt him breath out. "What are you doing, Aria?"

Gulping to myself I only ssh him and nuzzled into his chest, wanting to feel the comfort it brings from his embrace. It was like he was holding on to something fragile. He only tightened his arms before I felt them trace my back again, leaving me tingling.

Looking back into his eyes, I noticed a familiar tint of red appearing on his cheeks. "Why are you so charming?"

"And why are you so forwardly bold?" John asks as I sizzle myself closer to him. I only gave him a short smirk.

John didn't really know what to do. He knew he wanted her. He knew something about her was pulling him in. But he wasn't sure what exactly to do when she approaches him like this.

"Why are you so charming?"

"And why are you so forwardly bold?" He asks nervously as she sizzles up to him, her chest now fully leaning on him. He was sure she could hear his heartbeat.

Lightly grazing the nape of his neck before tangling her hands in his hair before pulling him down to meet her. Their lips met briefly before she pulls away and looks directly in his eyes.

"Because I know what I want." Lightning flashed from the window, and it reflected the fire in her eyes.

Unsure of what it is between the two of them, he pulled them closer and closed the distance once and for all.

When their lips met again, he softly brushed them before taking lead of the kiss. One of his hands found her hair and the other, her hips. Slowly pushing himself off the stool, he stood to his full height and felt Aria leaned closer on her toes.

He smiled at this, and he felt Aria smile too.

At the penthouse, where Sebastian and Rebecca lay satisfied after a much needed night together.

Sebastian took out a bud before lighting them, the familiar rush of addictive rushing through his body. He felt a soft body pressed against him before his cigarette was taken away and into the lips of his fiance, Rebecca.

He watched mesmerized, as she casually took a whiff and blew out a perfect circle, smirking to herself when she noticed the puff.

"So John's out with Aria tonight huh?" He asks as he placed his arm for her to lean on.

"Yeah. But I don't know how it'll go."

"The date, or overall?"

Rebecca only shrugged in silence before taking another whiff. Sebastian remembered a time when he first found out Rebecca had smoked.

It was probably the first time he realized he was more than just infatuated with her.

He was in love with her.

Taking hold of her hand, he brought them to his lips and kissed the finger that bared the ring, showing to everybody, that she was his.

Their eyes met, and he pushed her down before taking her cigarette away from her and putting it out. She blew a quick small puff to his face, and he smirked.

"You are mine." He stated, as a reminder, before he took both her arms across one another and kissed her to prove his point.
