12 Whispering About......You Know.... Whatever

(This occurs before Adora finds the sword. (Around Pre-teen Adora and Catra) Enjoy :) !!)

It was another late night for the troublemakers Catra and Adora. Catra proposed to raid the kitchen for their favorite type of ration bar: the grey kind. Adora did what she always did. Roll her eyes, and tell her that it's risky and against the rules. If it were anyone else, that would be the end of the conversation; Adora wouldn't risk breaking the rules, but it wasn't anyone else. It was Catra. Catra gave her a smirk and simply called Adora a chicken which made Adora fall into Catras piecing gaze as she finally agreed to the rebellious plan.

As they snuck up to the kitchen avoiding the guards and staff and they finally made it to the forbidden place. The kitchen. Adora held watch while Catra snuck into the boxes looking for the lost treasure. Then suddenly Adora ran the Catra and pulled her down behind some boxes.

"Don't say a word" she whispered. Catra quickly realized their position. Adora on top of Catra pinning her to the ground. They were so close that Catra felt Adora hot breath on her and her scent so strong. They stared into each other's eyes not daring to say a word or even move a muscle. Footsteps passed and Adoras tense position soften as she took in a big breath. Catra realizing the threat was over pushed Adora off of her. Another second with her that close, Catra would've done something rash even when she knew Adora didn't have feelings about her like that.

"Who was that?" Catra snapped still keeping her low voice. Adora laid next to her still processing the fact that her and Catra had been so close. Adora turned to see her best friend she repeated in her head.

"Shadow Weaver " she said quietly, still cautious. If shadow Weaver caught them she knew she would take it out on Catra and Adora didn't want that. Catra nodded and quietly got up and moved to the entrance scanning the halls. She turned to face Adora and held a thumbs up and a grin

"All clear" Adora nodded and looked around barely remembering their objective. She opened a box and found grey bar heaven. "Alright Adora! jackpot!" she said grabbing a handful of bars. Adora followed and got a pile of bars as they began to head for their bunkers.

When they arrived to their bunkers they found it empty. Lonnie was probably hanging out with the other cadets so they had the room to themselves. Catra laughed and plopped onto Adoras bed as it was her own and in reality it was since she slept there most of the time.

"I can't believe we almost got caught by Shadow Weaver!" She beamed a prideful grin. Adora chuckled and sat beside her.

"You're lucky I went with you. Without me, you would've been doomed" she said sneering at Catra. Catra rolled her eyes.

"Whatever!" She said playfully hitting Adora. She laid down and began to munch on her winnings. Adora laid down in front of Catea propping an arm to sustain her, she also began eating her grey bars. "You know what I was thinking?" Catra asked as she used her arm to hold her up. Adora hummed in response while continuing to eat her food. "We haven't played a prank on Kyle in a while. He's gonna think he's our friend or something;" she said. Adora noticed a storm of chaos was brewing in Catras mind. Adoras eyebrows furrowed.

"Catra you do realize that he is our friend right?" She said trying to get through Catras thick skull that they have more people than each other as friends. Catra rolled her eyes

"Whatever we haven't played a prank on him and I'm getting bored!" Adora hugged but gave in to Catras way of thinking.  She would do anything as long as she was with Catra.

"What were you thinking of doing?" She asked. Catras eyes lit up with sparks of amusement as she begun.

"Well we could do a prank that involves going against him during training routines or maybe..." Catras words were blurred out as Adora began to focus on the crumbs of the bar that were on Catras face. Adora brushed Catras face softly as she wiped the crumbs off. Catra was immediately caught off guard. "...Adora wha.." her sentence died softly and quickly. Adoras hand stayed on Catras check and her ice blue eyes were staring into her eyes in such a manner that rendered Catra speechless. She just began to breath softly. Adoras eyes lingered to Catras lips. A desire in both of them lit a flame. They could never. In the horde relationships were not permitted and affection is a sign of weakness. Or so they were told. Although both of them played with the idea of breaking the rules as they always did. They played with the thought that maybe the other one had the same feelings they felt. The feeling of wanting something unknown. Something more. They both thought. Before they knew it they were no more than a few inches away. Although no one spoke it was as if there was a deafening noise surrounding them. Calling to them. Pulling them toward each other.

Heavy footsteps were heard and they quickly separated promising themselves that they'd never speak of this experience ever again. It's late we're both tired. They gave the excuse of their behavior.

Lonnie stepped in and saw the two awkwardly sitting at the  oposite ends of the bed in complete silence. A wave of confusion hit her as she looked at them.

"Am I interrupting something?" She asked puzzled. Catra shook her head and climbed onto her bed. Adora also shook her head. Catra buried her face in her pillow and Adora pulled her blanket over her head.

Their actions purely meant to conceal their flustered faces.
