6 Nightmares

"Whats wrong little sister?" Horde Prime said grinning to Catra as she stood in front of the green pool afraid to make any movement. A knot formed at her throat and she looked around frantically for Adora despising knowing she wasn't coming. "Your Adora isn't going to save you."  Prime said placing a hand on her tensed shoulders. Catra thought to charge at him, but there were so many clones she wouldn't dare. "She only wanted Glimmer, not you" Catras ears rung up and her heart dropped

"Shut up!" Catra exclaimed, tears forming at her eyes "I don't want to hear you talk about her." She said, her tears dropping as she looked down "You're never going to get your grubby hands on her because she's not coming" she said not caring if the clones saw her tears. Prime's smile dropped and he frowned.

"That's disappointing to hear. But if she does come" He said grabbing her jaw forcing her to look at him "We'll be ready" He said, smiling such a wicked smile. Catras ears dropped and her face fell "I told you, everyone has a place to help benefit our cause" Prime said letting go of Catras face and turning to his clones. "Brothers, let us prepare our little sister in case for She-Ra's visit" He said. two clones seized Catras arms and tightly gripped her. They began pulling her toward the green pool. Catra began to struggle in a blind rage as tears ran down her face. She thought of all the things she's done to Adora. How much she loved her and how broken she was when Adora left her, All she wanted was to be with her and Adora left her for lame princesses. She began thinking about what if  she joined Adora the countless times Adora asked her to go with her. How if she had gone she  wouldn't have opened the portal or tried to destroy Adora and She-ra. How all she wanted was to be loved by Adora like how she loved her. She wanted to tell Adora so many things like how she felt about her for so long. She wanted to experience so many things with Adora. she began thinking about how many times she came close to killing She-Ra and how her pain and rage fueled her to want to destroy Adora when all she wanted was to kiss Adora, and hug her and cuddle with her in bed, spend all day with her and all night, but she couldn't.... That was Catras greatest regret.

"I'm sorry Adora" Catra whispered as she was plunged into a growing unbearable pain that consumed every atom that consisted of her.

"Catra!" Adora said shaking her girlfriend as she kicked and punched the air crying in her sleep. "Catra wake up its a nightmare!" Adora said, her worry increasing every second. Then Catra sprung up and opened her eyes unaware of where she was. She frantically tried to get out of the bed and out of a pair of arms that she thought were the arms of a clone. "CATRA ITS OKAY ITS ME!" Adora yelled as she struggled to keep Catra still. Catra crying and thrashing but immediately turned when she heard Adora's voice. She saw Adora's figure and stopped thrashing but still sobbed.

"Adora?" Catra said with a shaking voice. Adora nodded quickly still holding onto Catras waist.

" It's me Catra it was a nightmare you're okay. I promise." Adora said quietly as to not scare Catra. She had never seen her so afraid and shaken up.

"Adora" Catra whispered still weeping. Her broken voice only allowing sobs and the name of the person she loved most.

"Catra" Adora said softly. her face twisted in a heavy worry for her feline lover. In a second Catra jumped into Adora's lap and wrapped her arms around her burying her face in Adora's neck. She began sobbing uncontrollably and babbling things that Adora couldn't make out. Adora only looked sadly at her and moved her arms to hold Catra closer to make her feel safe. "I'm Here Catra, I'll protect you" she said rocking the crying girl in her arms, rubbing her back wanting to comfort her. "I'm here, I'll protect you" she repeated every once in a while to assure her love. After what felt like forever holding Catra, Adora felt the feline stop crying and just sniffing. She felt Catra was okay now. "Do you want to talk about it Catra?" she said gently as to not make Catra cry.

"It was about Horde prime" Catra whispered still holding onto Adora as tightly as she could, her tail even wrapped around Adora's arm. Adora nodded but stayed quiet to let her speak. "it was when he chipped me." She said stopping for a moment. Adora began to softly stroke Catras hair still slowly rocking her. "He said that you only wanted to come for Glimmer and not me. That I didn't matter to anyone not even Etheria's beloved Hero." She said gripping Adora tightly "When they were taking me to the green Pool all I could think was how much I missed you, how much I regretted not going with you, how I never told you that I loved you." She said quietly into Adora's ear, almost to the point where Adora could barely hear her. "It was so painful Adora." She said, her voice cracking and on the verge of tears again. Adora held her closely stroking her head and rocking her, listening to every word carefully. Catra took in a shaky breath and laid her face back in Adora's neck indicating she was done talking.

"Catra he's gone." She start softly "and you did matter, I'm so sorry I got there late, but you did matter to me, you matter the world to me. I'm so sorry you had to go through that horrible experience and if I could I would beat the crap out of Prime a million times for hurting you the way he did" she said stilling holding on to dear life. "I love you and I know you love me, and it's okay because we're together now and I'll never let anything happen to you every again. I'll be by your side till we're old I promise you no matter what." She said rubbing Catras back. Catra relaxed and Adora felt her breath in her neck. She had calmed down. "I'm here and I'm not doing anywhere" she declared planting little kisses on Catras fluffy hair. Catra giggles softly and she felt a burden on her shoulders lifted. She'll never forget what happened to her, but she has Adora and Adora loves her. That's all she needs to live. "I love you Catra Meowmeow." Catra tensed up and tore apart from Adoras strong embrace to face her. A look of surprise on her face.

"I TOLD YOU NOT TO CALL ME THAT!" She yelled. Adora laughed and held Catra still while she tried to get out of Adoras arms.

"I'M IN LOVEEEE WITH YOU MEOWMEOW" Adora responded

"ADORAAAA STOPPP THAT!" Catra whined still struggling to get out of Adoras tight arms. Adora giggled and held her in place while she squirmed "LET ME GOO" Adora shook her head and pulled her close to her face

"Never." She said closing the gap between them. Catra couldn't resist a kiss from the person she loved so she gave in and kissed back. Adora smiled through the kiss. Catra rolled her eyes but continued kissing Adora with a love she couldn't deny. When they pulled apart they touched foreheads, slightly blushing.

"I love you. Idiot." Catra said rolling her eyes but couldn't stop purring. Adora smiled knowing she was the only person on earth that could call her meowmeow and live to see another day. "Let's go to sleep Adora" Adora nodded and laid down allow Catra to get comfortable in her arms. She held her closely and Catra felt safe in her home, in the arms of her person.

Meanwhile in a couple rooms over, Glimmer and Bow wondered what was going on with their friends with all the screaming and giggling, but decided it wasn't worth ruining their friends fun checking in.

I literally started tearing up because of the beginning. I'm so glad Noelle decided to exclude when Catra was being chipped because that would've broken me into a million pieces. I can't imagine how terrifying and painful it was for Catra. Anyways I hope you guys enjoyed it! This little sad / fluffy spin on the classic nightmares oneshot. Check out my other works!
