5 Bastet Temple

Their eyes don't play trick on them right? Is that the same coffin lid they tried to open? What happened to the secret mechanics? Those question filled Stone and Bluetail's minds.

''Lucky us, there aren't any mummy. See I told you, we get nothing trying to open that lid anyway, why bothered'' Said Old Ginger.

Both Stone and Bluetail once again turned deaf ears to his blabbing.

''Did we forget something?'' Asked Bluetail.

'' Must be because we are too weak. We were only two cat and the lid is made of a solid chunk of stone.'' Said Stone.

What Stone said made sense, but they have a feeling there are another main reasons. Suddenly Bluetail tapped his forehead: '' I know, we all forgot that we are in soul form, we can't interact with physical objects!''

It's true, every one know that soul form can't interact with physical worlds, they can even pass through wall, however they can't see through wall so be at ease when you change your clothes.

''But then why do we come here if we can't take anything?'' Asked Old Ginger.

''… I forget about that'' Said Stone.

''...''

'' Look, inside the coffin'' Said Bluetail.

The interior of the coffin is also filled with small draws like the exterior, all of them are intact and look as good as newly crafted. Green glows are coming of them, these glows projected on the roof of the room and formed an image of a big green cat paw.

Look like the group of archaeologist can't see what is happening as they are still investigating the draws. These glows and symbol are only visible to soul form, in another word, to cats!

''What do we do now?'' Asked Old Ginger nervously.

Both him and Stone look at Bluetail. He is undoubtedly the most experienced when it comes to exploration and most of his previous deaths was during his adventures. Wild life, urban madness, underground... he knows and experienced it all.

Bluetail thought for a moment and decided to check out the paw symbol.

They approached it slowly and carefully. After all, this symbol is only visible in soul form, so it should be dangerous to soul form as well.

The symbol isn't big, it's only size of a normal cat. Glowing in green light, it gives of a mystical feeling of nature and also ghostly illusion.

Bluetail touched the symbol.

Bluetail's mind shook, his vision turned blurry, the scenery distorted, liquidized and blend together, became a mixture of colorful light streaks. All the color streaks then mixed together and everything become dark. Bluetail blinked and failed to open his eyes again.

After an unknown amount of time passed, Bluetail opens his eyes. His vision still blurry and there are occasionally streak of color lights flashed by, but he can make out his surrounding now.

He is in the middle of a rain forest. There are big and ancient trees everywhere, their trunks are of several meters in diameter and at least twenty meters tall. Grasses and bushes are a meter high and filled with green of vitality. He can also spot quite a few number of animal running around. There aren't any trace of human activities at all. Stone and Old Ginger lay on a nearby rock, still unconscious.

''I wonder what happened and where are we. It seems like Bastet is truly a cat in Immortail Realm, there shouldn't be any danger as she wouldn't want to deal with small fries like us.'' Thought Bluetail while remaining composed.

He then pulled both Stone and Old Ginger under a tree. This spot is in a higher terrain so they will have a clear look in the surrounding and it is also safer.

Time passed and Stone woke up followed by Old Ginger, they are both panicked and tried to teleport back to their physical body. They panicked even further as it's impossible for them to do so.

''Calm down you two. There are no danger and we are still alive, there are no point panicking and be scared. I don't think Bastet would teleport us here just to harm us.'' Said Bluetail.

Unlike Old Ginger, Stone had experienced quite a bit so he regained his composure quickly. He nodded: '' You are right. However being lost in nowhere and trapped in soul form isn't a good sign either. We should look around for an exit first.''

The trio then picked a direction randomly and traveling carefully. Old Ginger calmed down after awhile too.

About a day passed when the trio spotted something from afar.

There is a huge ancient temple. The architecture is from ancient amazon tribe which is a four faced pyramid, each face has a huge triangle stair case leading to the top. The temple itself is on a square shaped island, surrounded by a man made river, four bridges connected each face of the temple to the main land. Despite being huge, the temple blended nicely into the surrounding forest and give off a feeling of being lost.

On top of the staircase, there is an entrance.

'' I told you guys there is a temple, who told you guys to not believe me?'' Stone curled his lips.

'' Don't be full of yourself, it's just a stroke of luck. Who know if this is a blessing or a curse.'' Said Old Ginger.

'' Look like we have to go in, I don't see any other way to exit from here.'' Said Bluetail.

The trio climbed the staircase and heading to the entrance. It is covered in mosses and vines, a few birds even set up their nest on it. This temple is truly ancient and should have existed for a long time already.

However, the entrance isn't exactly an entrance. There is a big black hole in the middle of the entrance leading to the underground. It is filled with darkness and seem like a bottomless pit, just looking at it make everyone nervous and scared. The unknown is always scary.

Bluetail looked at his two friends and he jumped. His silhouette disappeared into the darkness.
