Remember as a listener, it is not about you. Give the most unbiased wisdom you possess in regards to their problems. Also try your best to be positive when conversing with them. Venters need someone to make them feel better about their problems, not negativity that could worsen how they feel already. Please be respectful and open minded. Negative regards helps nobody.
