37 Jealous

Lauren and Gabriel were arguing.

Gabriel calmed her down in a reasonable voice but Lauren continued to lash out while her chin trembled, choking down a sob. It took me a while to figure out the flow of their conversation but everything started to make sense now.

"I'm sorry, Lauren."

Lauren whimpered. "You broke up with me over text, Gabriel!"

"I told you I'm sorry."

"Gabriel, you should have told me personally. This had hurt me." Lauren cried hard as she punched and grabbed a fistful of his shirt, snot coming out of her cute, little nose. "You fucked me up."

"I'm sorry but I can't be with you anymore." He said flatly, void of any hurt or any expression at all.

"Was it because of that bitch?" Lauren turned around and pointed an accusing finger at me. "Was it because of Cassandra?"

My hackles rose as I wiped the sweat off my forehead, trying hard to control myself and not choke her to death. This Lauren was looking for a goddamn fight.
