A reincarnated boy is cast into the fate universe and beyond with overpowered cheats. The cheat to create skills.
Case Study/Fate: The Grail War
#1) Blending In
It was not long since he had met God. Yet here he was already being casted into the world of his chosen beginning. "Why?!" He was now falling from the air and the only thing he had was what the real Vanitas had on him.
There was one thing that separated him from the real Vanitas apart from being a reincarnator, Skill Creation. This was his cheat for a peaceful life. It was part of the rules of reincarnation, he was not allowed his own name, he was not allowed memories of his family. That's another matter for another day.
"Skill Creation: Gravity Manipulation"
He stopped falling slowly as he soon arrived on the floor before face planting into the dirt. He brushed off his clothes before fixing his giant bowtie before staring at his Book of Vanitas. It was an exact replica except while it could be used as its original purpose, his had other uses.
He sighed as he opened his book, the clockwork gear piece fell to the side as the gem embedded latch opened. The pages fluttered before bright constellation looking lines expanded into the air before forming...money.
the book fluttered a bit more as a few lines connected to make an arrow that started to move. Vanitas followed as he slowly pranced around on peoples' roofs. He eventually made his way to a designated home that had been set for him by big G.
He looked at it until he noticed, "Wait, why am I so close to the school?" The school was no joke, literally less than 500 meters away from his home.
He sighed as he took a look at the interior before opening the book and changing the design of the interior to his liking. He did like the colour blue in his previous life. He preferred light blue over dark blue. Far more to his taste.
The house eventually finished shifting as he headed over to his bed and flopped onto it before casting a sleeping spell on himself.
He yawned as he took a measure of his hight. He did remember striking a deal with big man in the sky about his hight. He only wanted to be 185cm tall, that was all he wanted, yet at this time he was still the same hight as the original Vanitas, 176cm.
He looked at the alarm clock before widening his eyes. He quickly rushed and changed into his usual attire. He had quite a few differences with the original Vanitas, no scars, no black gloves, he had white short ones instead. He didn't wear his coat as he rushed straight towards the school with his hourglass earring swinging from side to side.
The principal looked at the new transfer student who seemed to be dressed like a noble, "So Vanitas Nightray?"
A/N: Comment if you get the reference.
Vanitas nodded as the principal sighed "School uniform is esential-" A stack of cash fell onto the table as Vanitas dropped it. "I do not like the uniform so I'd like to be free from that restriction."
The principal sighed as he pushed the money back "Very well you may wear your usual attire. Keep the money." Vanitas left "Oh no, use that as a donation." He rubbed his fingers together before prancing off to his class.
He opened the door and gave a note to his teacher before writing his name on the board "Vanitas Nightray, please just call me Vanitas to make it simpler please." Shirou Emiya looked at the new transfer student who seemed to give off an aura of mysteries. His smile seemed strange and his eyes gleamed with the light of a blue moon.
Everyone found him odd. He didn't wear the school uniform but was equally liked by all students. He never listened in class yet he scored perfectly in most tests. He was on par with Emiya when it came to cooking and he liked helping people just like Emiya although the reason was different. He only helped if he dubbed you "Interesting."
Vanitas soon appeared in the archery club after school as he waved hello at everyone. "Hello there!"
Everyone turned to him as he waved at Ayako "Ayako-chan!" She waved before asking "You want a try?" Vanitas thought for a bit before deciding to annoy them. He nodded as she gave him a bow and told him to go change. Vanitas shook his head "No need I'm only a beginner and I'm only going to try a few times. No need for the hassle right?"
Ayako sighed as everyone watched on. Vanitas grabbed a three arrows and knocked the first one in before pulling it back and letting it fire, hitting the bullseye on the top. Everyone still had trouble processing the shot until another hit the bullseye on the lower left. Then another, this time hitting the bottom right.
They all broke out of it when they heard him "Yay! I made a mini triangle!" Ayako looked at him with murderous eyes and started strangling him by his collar. "You said you never did archery!" She shook him around while he let out what could be deciphered as.
"I didn't lie! You can check my records!"
She stopped before asking him with a serious face. "Do you want to join the archery club?" Shinji looked on with a murderous expression on his face as Vanitas thought for a bit until he replied "Sure! Does it include skipping out on cooking classes?" Every girl there gasped and was horrified. Skipping cooking class meant no one being able to partner with Vanitas meaning no delicious food.
They all despaired until Ayako saved them.
"No."
Vanitas sighed "Alright then."
He got her hands off of her before returning home.
"My peaceful nights will start soon. A beautiful city as long as I don't get involved with that war for the cup."
