1 the suspect

CHAPTER: 01

                           "THE SUSPECT"

"it was the night time and he started his regular exercise . i noticed him for some time and while doing that i fall asleep. "said vindy sitting on the couch next to her best friend lisa. "sigh" lisa stayed quiet. Vindy stood up and greeted lisa and left the apartment. "that was the most awkward discussion i ever had with her." lisa thought. while she was thinking ,her phone rang. "hello leny" lisa answered the call. But her face expressions changed suddenly. "that can't be true." she said during the call and cut the line .she seemed to be terrified. she made a call to vindy. Vindy picked "missing me?" said casually. "shut up and listen..."said lisa."what happened ? you sound creepy!" vindy said in a curiosity. "you were right .Billy was at the bar that night leny's brother murdered." said lisa and took a long breath. there was a awkward silence between them after that .it seemed like they lost their capability of speaking. "don't you have anything to say about that vindy?" asked lisa. vindy replied "i dont know .how do you expect me to react ? should i be happy about finding my husband was there that night.....?". lisa stayed quite. she knew this was a difficult situation for vindy. vindy hung up the phone.

       it was 1am ."its getting late ! you should go to sleep honey." said billy. while vindy was staring at him continuously. "i wanna ask something?" said vindy. "ehm..sure" replied billy. "ummm....i was saying ....you know .....never mind, good night!" vindy acted strangely. Billy continued his exercise.

       it was 8 in the morning. vindy was sleeping peacefully. Billy kissed on the forehead of vindy. she got frightened and pushed him back."what happened?" questioned billy. "Ohh..nothing just a bad dream. thank God you woke me up". vindy said covering her action. "i am sensing something different."billy said . Vindy denied and went to fresh up.

             later at evening lisa invited vindy over her house to talk. (door bell rang) lisa opened the door and they both greated each other. "How's you?" lisa asked. "what do you think..?"counter questioned vindy in a harsh tone. "hey! why are you barking at me? your husband brought you in this mess not me." lisa answered angrily. "well thanks for your information." vindy said. "listen! i am sorry. i didn't mean that. why are we fighting?..we are best friends and we can solve this together. believe me! everything will be fine." lisa comforted vindy. Vindy appreciated that. "So , you talked to him?" lisa asked. " i wanted to, but i couldn't." vindy replied sadly. "thats not a solution. what do you thing ...should we go to detective marry?" lisa asked. "who is she?" vindy asked in curiosity. "she is investigating this case." lisa mentioned. "you want me to go against my husband ?" vindy asked desperately. "what if he is the murderer? you are going to protect him..?" lisa said. "No, i didn't mean that . but what if he is not . this is going to ruin my relationship. i cant take that risk." vindy said and took a heavy breath. "see , we will tell detective to not mention your name . she will tell him that he was there that night and they saw him through that CCTV at the entrance." lisa advised. "Fine , we will go tomorrow." vindy approved. then they had tea and vindy left.

        "I'm home." vindy shouted. vindy was approaching to her bedroom where she listened billy talking to someone "you shut up! why are you calling me after what happened that night." billy was saying secretly. vindy felt like the darkness spreaded all over her eyes. she started breathing heavily. all of sudden she felt a hand on her shoulder "heyy!" billy said. she screamed and started running. billy chased her. "what happened? where are you going ....stopppp!" shouted billy but vindy locked the bedroom door. billy started knocking "open it . tell me what is bothering you? why are you acting like that lately?" asked billy and after few moments he stopped knocking and left.

           lisa was in her study. she got a phone call. "heyy vindy darling. whats up?" lisa answered the call. "i am in trouble . billy is the murderer.  yes he is . we should go now." vindy said in a rush.      "wait. what are you talking about? where should we go?" lisa asked. "i heard him on the phone. we should go to the detective as soon as possible . i locked myself in a room. you should come to me in the morning to pick me up!" vindy replied and cut the line. lisa had a strange smile on her face. she called somebody "done."
