52 The Establishment of Eastern Changzhou (2)

"Two representatives from the Goldfang-Orc Village, please forgive this surname Mu to ask, but will this batch of Recovery Ointment be used on us in the future?" as this was their sales, Mu Qing Lang must at least confirm that the product will not be used against themselves.

"Of course, it won't be aimed at Chief Mu and your people. Truth to be told, we are preparing the medicine in case the Jinjiang Village attack us. Since the Namu and Yelu Settlement already been destroyed, the faction that may threaten our village only left with a few."

"One of them is Chief Mu's Settlement, I guess you're going to call it Eastern Changzhou? Next would be the Wuhan Village on the north of the prairie, Jinjiang Village between the two borders, Ashen-Orc Village, and the Grass Bear Tribe."

"Recently, the Grass Bear Tribe started to get more aggressive towards the other tribes. Even the Ka-Ruo Settlement go attacked twice. To let Ka-Ruo Settlement recover themselves slightly, we've arranged fifty young orcs there, but they remained aggressive."

The representative from the Goldfang explained the situation thoroughly, where it managed to obtained Mu Qing Lang's agreement. Without further ado, he accepted the business of 10,000 bottles of Recovery Ointment, with priority purchase allocated to them first.

In exchange, the Goldfang-Orc Village will be the first one to accept their term of purchase using Eastern Sea Spiritual Pearl. As for the rates to exchange for the pearls, that will be Fengbu's livelong responsibility.

Of course, Mu Qing Lang did not make things difficult for his subordinate.

After telling him how much each Eastern Sea Spiritual Pearl worth, Fengbu quickly comes out with his own version of demand and excess list, where it was divided into three categories.

Edible / Craftable / Cultivatable

Further into the topic, starting from Edible Categories first, They are split into three sub-categories to allow him to handle them more efficiently.

Short-Demand / Long-Demand / Special Demand

Each of them has their own pricing adjusted accordingly. Short-Demand category is used to handle easily perishable goods such as meat, fruits, and milk. They are necessary but had their price lowered because of the shelf-life.

And for Long-Demand category, goods like meat jerky, dried fruits, medicinal tusk from the Goldfang Boar, and flour milled from the Wheat Grains. Due to their longer shelf-life, they are priced a little above the short-demand products.

Lastly, is the Special Demand category, where food like Infused Juniper Oil, Root Sucrose Liquid, and others. The product listed in this category is not necessary, but essential for those demanding for better tasting food.

As for the Craftable Category, they are split into two easy to understand sub-categories.

Militarized and Non-Militarized.

The militarized focused on ingredients capable of Armament-Crafting, while for the Non-Militarized category focused on those like leather, wood, and many more.

Finally, Cultivatable Category. There will be no sub-category for this option, but nevertheless, the exchange and rates are decided by Mu Qing Lang personally.

And unfortunate for the Goldfang Orcs, the supply of leather and boar meat has been monopolized by the Tiezu Orcs residing inside of this upcoming Eastern Changzhou as one of their tribe members.

Hence, only the Medicinal Tusk from the Goldfang Orc Village could yield a decent selling price. With the rates of fifty Medicinal Tusk for one Eastern Sea Spiritual Pearl, they exchanged a thousand tusks for the sake of building up their fund.

The twenty Eastern Sea Spiritual Pearls was then used to exchange for two thousand bottles of Recovery Ointment. In their mind, they were only expecting a one to one exchange rate to obtain the Recovery Ointment, but through this way, the Medicinal Tusk worth two bottles of the ointment each, which is a profitable exchange.

Of course, Fengbu represents Mu Qing Lang to add another piece of a reminder to them before they leave the Eastern Changzhou.

"This Eastern Sea Spiritual Pearl will be recognized as the main currency of Eastern Changzhou. In the future, depending on our space, stores, and needs, the products we will purchase will be all paid using the pearls. The Eastern Changzhou will only recognize Eastern Sea Spiritual Pearl as the form of payment to purchase our products."

This announcement was a bomb to the heart of all present in front of Fengbu's Exchange Store.

"Will only recognize Eastern Sea Spiritual Pearl?"

"Currency? Can the Eastern Changzhou promise to not suppress everyone here for the sake of buying our products at a lower price?"

"How will you handle the circulation of Eastern Sea Spiritual Pearl here? Won't we be holding a useless pearl in hand of the Eastern Changzhou no longer honor their promises?"

"Yes! Although the currency made the trading fairer, Eastern Changzhou is not the overlord of this entire Chang Emperor Prairie. What can we do if the Wuhan Village doesn't approve this practice?"

They keep their barrage of questions at Fengbu, who did not have the liberty to answer everyone. The barrage keeps on going until Mu Qing Lang came and calm the others.

"If the representatives of the villages around do not mind about our lack of hospitality, please follow me to our soon to be opened Changzhou Pavilion." Mu Qing Lang invited everyone to one of the largest ground foundation built by Han Xi and others.

This building is made especially to provide the envoys from outside with the highest quality of hospitality. Although incomplete, the essential necessity like bamboo chairs and table had already been completed early in the morning.

"Please!" Mu Qing Lang spreads his hand towards everyone following and guides them to their seats. Once everyone had their backside landed on the chair, Mu Qing Lang clapped his palm thrice to give those behind the hall a hint.

"Representatives, please enjoy the meals prepared for everyone. I humbly ask for your forgiveness for the incomplete building plus the smeared beauty of this place." Mu Qing Lang cupped his hands together and bowed.

The female attendants quickly come out with plenty of long-bowls made from the same length section of the bamboos. After their side has been cleaned along with the inside, this long-bowl is more convenient than the antique stone bowls.

Furthermore, the lightweight of the bamboos surprised the others living in both north and west of the Chang Emperor Prairie. Such a durable wood that can be grown en-masse, what else does the Eastern Changzhou possessed?

Only through the bowl alone had awed them. But that was nothing when the food with Infused Juniper Oil, Root Sucrose Liquid, noodles made from Fine Wheat Flour, and potato in three different way of preparations. Three styles are what approved by Mu Qing Lang before they start making it.

Or else, the entire table is going to be filled with potato dishes instead of a mix and match. Once again, Mu Qing Lang awed them for the second time through food.

With their heart and belly had their answers, Mu Qing Lang is only left with the mind as his last opponent. This was also his intention to make sure to impress them first before confronting his toughest opponent.

"I am sure everyone has a question to ask me, but let me answer the few previous questions everyone had brought up outside." Mu Qing Lang once again offered to clear the layer of mist away from the truth.

"The first question is about the rates Eastern Changzhou is offering. I can assure that the prices given by the Exchange Store are always according to the needs and supply." Mu Qing Lang started.

"Let me made this an example. I purchased 105 pieces of leather from the Goldfang Orcs using one pearl and sell 95 to the Ka-Ruo Settlement for one pearl. Does this means I've earned 10 pieces of leather?" Mu Qing Lang asked.

"Yes." the crowd presents inside this dining hall nodded with approval.

"Then let me ask you this. If the Fengbu Exchange Store did not buy and sell the leather, where will you go to get it?" Mu Qing Lang next question sounded like an idiot, but behind it hid an invisible knife ready to strike their heart.

"Of course, we will go to the Goldfang-Orc Village to buy them."

"Yes. We can bring the leather to the Ka-Ruo Settlement and sell them too."

The Ka-Ruo Settlement and Goldfang-Orc Village were in a trade long before Mu Qing Lang started. Hence it was not a weird situation for them to be that close to each another.

"I see. That is great for the two of you. But I wonder if you did that, what are you doing by coming here for nothing? Let's put aside walking back to your village with an unsold product, what else are you going to do with the products you wanted to purchase?"

"You need the Eastern Sea Spiritual Pearl to exchange them, and to get it, you will need to exchange it for something else. Why bother to bring two times the product just for the sake that few pieces of leather?" Mu Qing Lang describes the situation they might meet with if they insisted on not willing to lose a small profit.

"You shouldn't look at the Eastern Changzhou like it was trying to eat everything you have, but instead, treat us like the Village Chief's building, where everything can be found here as long you're willing to trade with the Eastern Sea Spiritual Pearl!"
