11 Human Settlement (3)

"Beautiful sun, Master Mu!" the people working nearby greets Mu Qing Lang the moment he came out from his carriage. It was a noisy night yesterday after the medicine was distributed to the injured people by the hand of Ka-Ba.

Miraculous.

That's the only word the people living inside this settlement use to describe the effectiveness of his Recovery Ointment. After suffering for more than five days, having their wound opened and rummaged to remove the maggots, it was finally solved with a simple medicinal paste.

In the eyes of the residents, Mu Qing Lang is their savior, saint, and a messenger from heaven. If a bottle of paste can heal their wounds, won't fighting against the Stone Claw Bear becomes as easy as unrooting the weeds?

"Master Mu, please accept Ka-Ruo (Ka-Ba, Ka-Yee) bow!" the father and son, along with his wife kneeled before Mu Qing Lang. This situation made him nervous as he did not do anything for them. Even the distribution of medicine is done by Ka-Ba.

"Leader Ka-Ruo, please stand up. Both of you too. Stand up!" Mu Qing Lang nervously pulled the father and son up from their knees, but when the family and friends of the five other families came, everyone kneels right before Mu Qing Lang.

"We from Ka-Ruo Settlement thanked Master Mu for your miraculous medicine!" everyone kneeled before him. Elders, seniors, women, and child. He became the savior and heaven's messenger with just six bottles of medicine.

"People from Ka-Ruo's settlement, please stand up." Mu Qing Lang said.

When all of them arise, two young ladies in their mature age for marriage came forward and held both of his arms as everyone headed to their dining area. As the people in this settlement is used to eat their food altogether, two to three madames work on behalf of the settlement leader to provide food for everyone.

That means, lady Ka-Yee, wife of Leader Ka-Ruo, is also one of the three chef madames. The meal they prepared is sumptuous. There's boiled wheat still inside their cloudy soup, grilled game meat, and some wolves jerky. Of course, vegetables cannot miss their spot on the table, as there are some tied grass knots on the table.

From what the resident said, these grass knot is known as Lizard Beards. They flourished in places near water, and always overgrown until the grass float on top of the water. They can be eaten raw or cooked with the wheat soup and carries a greenish but sweet flavor.

And to celebrate the special moment, Ka-Ruo grounded the Sodium Deposit Crystal into a fine powder before sprinkling them on top of the food. With the existence of salt in their diet, their variety of food also increases along with the source.

As amazing it was, Mu Qing Lang showed them the extent of his belly and how much food can he handle by gobbling the food given to him. It was an unforgettable feast.

At the end of the meal, the two little lasses with Ka-Ba stands before Mu Qing Lang, hoping that he will accept them and brings them along back to his camp.

Ka-Ba is both the Fire-Starter and a half-qualified cultivator. As for the two lasses, their given name is Luoli and Luoyi. Both of them are good in handiwork and sewing, especially Luoli, who also know a little about tools and blacksmithing from following their father.

"Alright. We are going to get along well together. If there's nothing else, Leader Ka-Ruo, I wish that we can leave now." Mu Qing Lang tells Ka-Ruo his intention, and it was well accepted by the people. As the leader of this trip back to the camp, Mu Qing Lang hurried and left the settlement with three other youngsters and some tools.

Their trip home went on smoothly, but for Ka-Ba, he made an assumption that their safe journey is due to Mu Qing Lang's cultivating strength. Wild creatures have an acute sense that tells them if its save to attack or leave immediately.

The trip did not take too long as the return route weren't as troublesome as before, and with the track has been made, it is easy to travel from one open area to another without trouble. About the return trip, it's about twelve hours until they reach the Mu's Camp.

Thinking about this, Mu Qing Lang almost wanted to give Xiao Qing a knock on his head. That Goblin Teacher told him that he remembers the merchant mentioned it took him six days to find the Goblin Village. If he's completely trusting this fellow, how long Mu Qing Lang has to lost in his way to finding this settlement?

"We're back!" Mu Qing Lang shouts.

The twelve goblins quickly come to meet him and help to bring the three youngsters back to the place. Because the camp wasn't that well established yet, the goblins surrendered two small Straw-Stacked huts for the youngsters while they lived together in three other huts.

Eight goblins took the three youngsters to visit around, while four goblins came to report.

Looks like the goblins did not get lazy after having a day of break. In the morning of the ninth day, they harvested the Xian-Ren Grass planted 48 hours earlier. For today, there's a total of 1,000 stalks of Xian-Ren Grass in the middle of drying, as well as 1.2kg of Prairie Herbal-Cress.

Other than that, the Goblin Teacher reported that one of them found the stash that should be belonged to the previous Goblin Leader. Within the sack is two pieces of game meat jerky, and shiny pebble similar to his own Spiritual Agate Pebble.

Keeping the pebble in his pocket, Mu Qing Lang asked the goblins to plant another plot of 500 Plants tomorrow, along with something new that he will give them the next morning. As for the three youngsters, Mu Qing Lang will assign each of them with a job to do.

Ka-Ba will continue his duty, and explore the places around them. Other than opening more roads to different places, he'll be expected to start a bonfire every night and hunt for wild animals if there's any. In return for his help, Mu Qing Lang will provide him with a Small Xian Pill every night.

As for the two lasses, they'll take over the task to weave some proper items such as straw sacks, utensils, and mat for their uses. With a little additional touch, the two lasses should be able to help to make things much more comfortable here.

But of course, the goblins are all warned about disturbing the three youngsters. He mentioned that they're here on behalf of the Ka-Ruo Settlement, so they'll have to treat the youngsters with proper etiquette.

Of course, the warning is given due to the assumption that the goblins might try to harass or disturb the lasses for their copulating cause. It wasn't an issue if the girls allowed it, but he has to make sure they don't go overboard.

On that night, Ka-Ba starts a bonfire. The reason for their first fire is not to grill the meat as there are no meats available in Mu's Camp. It was started to give the goblins an intimacy to fire, where they'll begin to eat properly cooked food.

Although their diet consists of cooked soybean, it was more to a starchy meal. To make sure that the goblins can grow up properly and also focus on development, starting it from the food would be the best choice.

The girl's picky details in their sleeping place actually caught the attention of the female goblins. While waiting for dinner, the two girls spent some of their time washing and processing the straws. The softened straws are then braided into much proper bedding, and gentle on the ladies skin.

As for Ka-Ba, this fellow enjoyed fighting with goblins using the word "Training" as the reason to look for a fight. Combined with the goblin's shrewdness and love to fight, they clicked very soon after their dinner.

Meanwhile, Mu Qing Lang excused himself like always and returned to the Carriage of Immortality. The Goblin Teacher is given the right to handle their foods and to make sure that they don't heavily rely on him, Mu Qing Lang gave him 180 Xian-Ren Grass to be used as their foods, while he kept three on his kitchen tabletop.

As for the remaining 802 Xian-Ren Grass, 12 stalks are used to produce the Xian-Qin Pills and 500 into 50 Small Xian Pills. The remaining 290 stalks were concocted into 58 bottles of Recovery Ointment. After he's done handling the produces, Mu Qing Lang moved to the Information Table.

[Toot!]

He tapped into the selection once the option pops up.

"Hohoho! Seems like I just got myself something worth risking again. I wonder what's the reason for it to be called as one of the five herbs in this Chang Emperor Prairie." Mu Qing Lang held his curiosity for another night because, by tomorrow, he'll start planting them.

After popping one of the Small Xian Pill, Mu Qing Lang slept.
