"I understand. Today you saved me; in return, I will help you with your quest for vengeance," Xu Ran pledged, suddenly coughing up a mouthful of blood, which splattered onto Xiao Wu.

"So soft," he muttered, laying his head on Xiao Wu's jade-like legs.

"Auspicious Beast, how are you feeling now?" Xiao Wu asked, both shy and concerned. She extended her long legs to provide a more comfortable resting place for Xu Ran. Initially, she had considered her quest for revenge hopeless, but now, with the Auspicious Beast's assistance, the situation had changed.
