15 Chapter 14: Do you still want to marry me

In a luxury coffee shop downtown, melody sit like a statue looking like a starstruck foolish girl infront of a handsome young man sitting in a wheelchair.

"State the price, how much my grandfather promise to give you and I'll double it" the man said, looking at her disgusted

Melody looked away, she was hurt by what brother Yi implying of my reasons of marrying him. thruth be told, even if he was like this to me, im still happy to see him!

I was preparing for our wedding with my friends, since brother Yi won't answer my calls and txt, even though grandpa told me that Brother Yi agreed of marrying me, so i was happy when i received a message from him, no greetings or anything just his name, where and time, but looking at his expression, i know he was here to antagonize me. Brother Yi really don't remember me, im just like one of those he visits in the hospital, a person he pity.

"Hey are you listening? don't delay me just state the price and stop those nonsense that your preparing!" Li Yi yelled, looking at me irritatingly

i lick my dry lips and looked up at him cautiously "Brother Li Yi, i....." "SHUT UP!" he yelled interrupting me from speaking

"you think, you have the right to call me intimately?" he looked mad, almost bursting in his wheelchair and snap my neck

"Meiren Song you underestimate your identity! your just a lowly woman who was after my family's property, so dont think highly of yourself! got that?!" he looked at me murderously, through i was scared because of that look he was giving me but i still nod meekly

"I...I....." i choked on my next words as, i know he will erupt again if i told him my reasons, that its not for money. He'll just yelled at me, write a cheque and be done with me. Brother Yi had experience a betrayal, so besides his family, he will be suspicious of everyone.

i close my eyes, and thought of pros and cons but i still felt telling him a little truth of the reason are good too.

i peek at him, and inhaled deeply as i know he will not accept my reasons but atleast he'll understand because it seems that he already investigate my family background.

"I want a family" i said seriously and looked at his eyes, that have a little surprised but turn to normal again" I don't want to be lonely" i added as my heart for some reason relaxed, because i know, its true, i don't want to be alone. Im scared of silence.

He looked at me deeply and said "I might kill you, if i have the chance. Do you still want to marry me?" he asked me, he looked at me like he's already preparing his planned murder.

I was scared by what he said but for some reason i felt it was funny. If he was really planning such a thing, he'd keep quiet and carry it out, but for some reason, he sought my consent.

at the very point he said it, i wasn't sure if he was telling the truth, because even though he looked at me like that, but for some reason, his eyes were a little less suspicious, and a little serious, and it made me laugh without restrained.

And thought of game, a game that kaori usually plays.

"That's fine. it's only a matter if i can get you accept me as a family before that, right"

I thought it will be good if he fell for me for real, like those novels of 'how to make (insert name) fall inlove with the mc and have a happy life together.'

Though i doubted he will love me, anyway i could act shamelessly and show my love to him as much as i wanted. On the other hand, with how he blatantly it seems he hated me, he would never knew that besides showing him, i want a happy family, he would not be to hostile to me.

I know it was necessary to make him fall, to catch him off guard when he thought everything's alright.

when i thought of it Iike that, this situation of him being suspicious and have poisonous tongue isn't that bad. The opportunity of catching him are a big chance for me, a chance i would never had even in my dreams.
