12 Chapter 11 : Chosen

*bzzzt*bzzzzt

*Tok!Tok!

a repeatedly buzz of the doorbell and fist banging the door could be heard outside Melody's unit. sunlight passing through the curtain window, lightening the dark bedroom.

the vague sound of doorbell and a nonstop knocking sounds wake me up from my sleep, i drowsily pick up my phone to look at the time and then unhurriedly walk out the bedroom and yelled irritatingly, even though i know the other side won't hear me.

looking at the peephole I was shocked to see a familiar face, its grandpa!

i opened the door and looked at the grandpa, whom i spent my 2 important eating time.

"Gramp's! your here, is there something wrong?" i asked feeling clueless of what was his purpose of coming here

"can i come in, girl?" gramp's asked and pointed at the colored printed paper bag, he was holding. The printed bag has a gold M logo clearly it came from a fast-food McDonald's

opening up, i jokingly said "Gramp's nice choice it can extend being young"

gramp's laugh and look at me in a dotingly like a true grandpa to his granddaughter

"Its almost lunch time and your still in bed? eh, its not a good habit for a young lady, melody my girl" grandpa said as he led himself at the dining

"err, i slept late last night after the ...party" i said as i remember brother yi

"so? did enjoy yourself last night? don't forget yourself and work yourself to death" grandpa said as he prepared the food he brought.

Grandpa skip through my kitchen like he does it for almost a decade, every utensils are easily found by hkm. if not i had just met him just two time maybe everyone will think he leave here before. My lips unconsciously hooked up, as warm pass through my already cold heart.

honestly after my parents death, a rarely made new close friends and often deliberately avoid chatting with other except for brother yi; he was special case, i never considered him an outsider. just like this grandpa, hes caring to the point you cant denied him.

"Girl? what are you waiting for, lets dig in. god im so famish! my intestines should already been shrink already" grandpa eat with his bare hand, completely abandoning the table ware beside him. i smiled and washed my hand, took mouth wash and simply wash my face with water after that, i join grandpa's escapades of using bare hand in eating.

"Anyway girl, what do you think of the Li family? they aren't shabby right?" gramp's asked, as rice flew everywhere

"not shabby at all, the bad thing is the waiter are so stingy at food" i said, complaining about the food i didn't get to taste

gramps laugh as i get the freshly squeezed juice my assistant made for me in the fridge, i filled our cup and drink mine

"They must have ban you, dont tell me you pigged yourself last night?" gramps laugh heartily

"Gramp's your so mean, i didn't even had my hand on the chocolate fountain so why would i be labeled like that!" i pouted, truthfully i tried getting my hand at the chocolate fountain but i was so disappointed that they didn't have Marshmallow ready to dip in the chocolate fountain. clearly they just prepared it for a show. hmmmf!

Grandpa just laughed it off as we continue to talk some things about the party and dress of some certain guest. The food had been finished already when granpa stated his business for coming here.

"say melody, my girl would you want to be Lu Yi's wife; my grandson..."
