72 Diamond ring part 2

Glaring towards Jake Roswell, Anna wished she could go back to her apartment instead of joining the dinner which Nikki forgot to tell her about.

She was halfway in the elevator when Anna received the call from Nikki. The latter sent Jake Roswell. He was her ride to Nikki's place.

She prepared a simple dinner. There was only the four of them.

The Roswell brothers sat side by side while Anna and Nikki sat opposite each of them.

Anna tried not to murder her steak twice. The knife cutting deeply into it.

"I believe I owe you one congratulations Anna. I haven't told you yet, have I?"

Anna forced herself to smile, turning her attention to face Jacob.

"Thanks, Jacob."

"Ah, right. Congratulations on your engagement, Anna."

Anna narrowed her eyes towards Jake, the latter snickering as he took a sip from his champagne glass.

"Thanks." She forced her mouth to say.
