2 Anna and The Agency

Red was not her favorite color.

In fact, red was not her color at all.

Anna let out a sigh, twirling the champagne flute in her hands. She watched with feigned enthusiasm as the liquid inside it danced with the movement.

She was wearing a red dress.

Much to Anna's distaste, she wore the color she did not like the most. It reminds her of heart-shaped nonsense valentines things.

She shook her head, taking a sip from the drink in her hand.

Savoring the bitter aftertaste of the wine, Anna let her eyes wander around. A sly smirk formed on her lips as she caught sight of Kristofer Almodiel.

"Hmm," she mused. He was even more good-looking in person than in the picture. She could understand how he could attract so many women. To add, he was screaming rich and single.

"The perfect bachelor," Anna murmured.

It made him the perfect playboy as well.

Anna scoffed at the thought.

"Of course, that is always the case. Else, I wouldn't be here," she stated, lowering her voice and taking another sip from the drink.

Good looks, money, and fame are terrible combinations for one man to possess.

Although Anna could name a few men who did not turn out to be total jerks despite having it all, she can't help but shake her head in dismay.

It was like society had set that as a standard, and it was no longer surprising for anyone whenever they met one of those typical douches.

But even then, some are brave enough to tip the scale and get even with those scoundrels. Those courageous souls are what society needs. Those brave souls included Anna and her agency.

"Wh-who are you?" Anna smiled cruelly as she grabbed a fistful of hair from the man in front of her.

He was blindfolded and was currently tied to a chair. And in the darkroom where she had skillfully brought the man, she dominated,

Leaning down to whisper in his ears, Anna smirked.

"I am your worst nightmare," she said, emphasizing each word to ensure he gets the message loud and clear.

"What did I ever do to you? I don't even know who you are," Anna clicked her tongue, the sound echoing around the empty room.

"To me, you did nothing. But to a certain woman whose only fault was to love you with all her heart, you did."

"I do not know what you are talking about," Anna clicked her tongue again, shaking her head in disbelief.

"Ah, too bad. You sound so cliche," Anna remarked, letting him go. She sighed, folding her arms across her chest as she stared at the guy.

She had no idea what kind of punishment she would administer to him.

Mostly, she based the punishments on the severity of the deed. This man's wrongdoing was like most of the usual.

He was a typical ghoster.

Anna pulled the whip attached to her belt. It was one of the classics that she often used.

"Why are you doing this anyway? Did someone pay you?" Anna clicked her tongue for the third time.

"I'm sorry, well, not really, but the only person allowed to ask questions here is no other than me,"

Anna chuckled at the brief memory.

She finds it satisfying to leave those liars and cheaters as broken as they had with the other party.

It made her think that this way, somehow, justice was being served for those innocent hearts that had been shattered.

This was her way of fighting against what society thought was okay.

Pulling herself back to the present, she realized the lights had dimmed. Once again, she couldn't help but smirk. The anticipation made her giddy with excitement to witness the look on Kristofer Almodiel's face when he finally witnessed the surprise she had in store for him.

It was the perfect parting 'gift' her client had dedicated for his special day.

"Ah, revenge, vengeance. Victory is so sweet. I hope you will be at peace upon seeing this darling," Anna murmured, taking the last swig from her drink, finally finishing it while pulling out her phone from her purse.

A loud gasp and a commotion began to break out as the people around her talked about the scandalous video of the future CEO of Atrium, the largest real estate and construction company that had taken over what was supposed to be a brief overview of an upcoming project.

Anna briefly caught the horrified look on Kristofer Almodiel's face, and she chuckled, snapping a few photos of him.

Amid the commotion, she caught him staring back at her for a split second. Anna merely smirked his way, taking that as her cue to leave. She put her phone back in her purse.

Satisfied that her purpose had been accomplished, Anna grinned even more widely before turning around to make her exit.

She gracefully walked past people and the sudden flash of cameras from the reporters who had been waiting on standby, hanging around the place.

This was a juicy story. Anything that involved rich and good-looking people was always a treasure for these reporters.

Though, in her honest opinion, it shouldn't be the case.

People's rights to privacy should be respected. However, Anna could not blame them.

These individuals whom society looks up to because of their status have exciting life and lifestyle that most do not enjoy.

Of course, knowing all about it is pretty thrilling for most. Fortunately, Anna did not share the same sentiments.

Finally reaching the double doors of the hotel's grand ballroom, Anna paused and decided to take another look at Kristofer Almodiel's face. She wanted to sear his stunned expression in her memory. It was like document keeping.

However, upon trying to find him in the same spot where she had seen him a few minutes ago, she was disappointed to discover that he was no longer there.

Shrugging, she let it go and faced the door once more.

She had been itching to get rid of the red dress and let her mind wander to what she would do when she returned to her office.

The first thing was, of course, changing into more comfortable clothing for her.

Thinking of all this, Anna was ready to make her exit. But, before she could push the door open, a firm hand had suddenly gripped her by the arm, and upon turning her head to see who it might be, she found herself face-to-face with the handsome CEO.
