I Want To Tell You My Secrets

"He's cute! Did you just call that guy cute?" He was so annoyed his voice raised up a pitch.

Ellise furrowed her eyebrows watching DT fumbling for his car keys. His eyebrows are drawn to almost a line, and his lips are pressed tightly. Is he jealous, she wondered.

She went around the car to get in the passenger seat, not waiting for him to open the door for her. She caught herself before her illusion got the best of her.

She just heard DT is still within Asya’s beck and call. She was just going to hurt herself more if she continues to assume that he has special feelings for her.

She sternly reminder herself to focus on what's she came here to China in the first place, which she ended up laughing bitterly. Wasn't she here because of DT?

"What's so funny?" He asked irritated. He jabbed the car key into the ignition forcefully.

She just shook her head and said nothing. She scoffed inwardly at how pathetic she has become because of following her heart.

"Just bring me home," she mumbled before closing her eyes and leaning on the car seat pretending to sleep to avoid any more questions from him.

DT drove in silence. Glancing at the girl sitting on his passenger seat and remembered that she never like to carry a conversation in a car. He chuckled softly.

However, his mind was drawn back to the boy that Ellise called cute. Is her type are those intellectual looking guy? He wondered trying to recall the guy’s looks. He was tall and lanky, wearing thick eyeglasses, not someone you would normally call cute, but he does have a friendly face, which he doesn't.

The boys in his team used to tease him that if he is a girl, his face would be categorized as a resting bitch face. Because he always has an aura of getting pissed off over everyone and everything, even when that was not in his intention at all.

Bobby would always pester him to smile and act friendly to their fans whenever they have a game. According to him, it is the reason why he doesn’t have a girlfriend around his age because only women who are older than him can tolerate his bad attitude.

And the worst assumption they have on him is that he has a fetish for older women! And the reason for that was his relationship with Asya, who was almost ten years older than him. He can’t blame them though because they never knew other women who got close to him other than Asya. They never knew that he has a history with Ellise. It was only Grand who knew his friendship with Ellise.

He clicked his tongue with the idea that he has a fetish for mature women. Giving Ellise another glance over his shoulder as he took a u-turn, he smiled inwardly thinking Ellise may be mature but she's definitely not old.

If his memory serves him right, he is four years older than Ellise. Though he had a hard time believing it at first since he met her wearing heavy makeup and totally drunk.

Ellise opened her eyes slowly and peered on the driving seat. She saw DT with a soft expression on his face. She was surprised with the sudden thump on her heart watching half of his face bathe with the shadow of the car's visor.

His jawline exudes strong masculinity, but when he smiles, his facial features soften and transform him into a boyish charm. Not to mention his dark eyes that could draw any woman into the impression of being the only woman in a room.

When he suddenly glanced at her, she inhaled sharply and closed her eyes tight. She wasn't expecting him to catch her staring. A wave of heat rushed up to her neck to the back of her ears. Flustered, she crossed her arms across her chest.

"We are almost there. Wake up now." He said, but she could tell by his tone of voice he didn't believe she was actually asleep.

She opened her eyes and straightened her back looking out the car window to check their location. Her eyebrows raised when she saw unfamiliar buildings.

"Where are we?" She asked in surprise.

He didn't answer and just entered underground parking.

She took a deep breath when the car darkened as they entered the parking ground.

"Where is this place, DT?" she asked once more. He must have heard the soft panic in her voice because he tapped her hands in assurance.

"This is the short cut to the WIZ parking ground. The security guards of that building are familiar with our cars so they let through.” He said, chuckling as he maneuvers his car in the maze of cars. “Though it was just Grand and me who knew this way."

Ellise's heart warms up with the thought that DT is letting her in on a secret. One that he does not want to share with all the boys on his team. She hid a pleased smile that curled up on her lips.

"Though Grand was the one who actually knew this way because he uses this short cut to escape the traffic in intersection going to the WIZ. Apparently, it cuts him a good twenty minutes. This gives him enough time to come back for the curfew every time he met his current girl."

Even as she tries to act indifferent, Ellise giggles in the dark. She imagines Grand being proud of himself for discovering a way to be on time from his many unallowed trips outside the club.

"Typical Grand." She chuckled softly.

"Speaking of that casanova, he told me before you go to the skatepark with them. I was surprised that you also play."

"Hmm," she mumbles, not wanting to confirm what Grand told him. She makes a mental note to corner Grand and interrogates him for whatever he told DT about her.

“Do you still play?” he asked. He wanted to prolong this conversation with Ellise. He wondered if she would ever accept any more invitations from him in the future.

To be honest, he has an ulterior motive for bringing her to the WIZ club instead of taking her back to her house. He was hoping that the boys in the club would see them together so they would know that he has a sort of relationship with Ellise.

He got annoyed whenever he heard the other members of the team making Grand and Ellise sound like partners. He now regretted not asking his uncle to include her in his team, and his pride is preventing him from doing so now.
