"Welcome to J-City!"

J-City is finally open to everyone. After a long closure for renovation, it is now open to foreign and local tourists. On the first regular day of the city, restaurants, stores, malls, and establishments put their products and services on sale, which increased customer arrival. It also boosted tourism and the opening day economy of the city. The dashing screens and lights create the city's urban ambiance. It was a busy day. People are coming, carrying their biggest smiles. 

Flashback: When Jae got to the crowded place to keep the police out of sight, The people were celebrating the grand opening of the new urban J-City. There was a mini stage in the middle of the road where people performed. Some of the performances were dancing and singing.

A super energetic host keeps the crowd's energy high like his. "Wow! What an amazing performance from our J-City Theater Club! Now, I know you guys are excited about the ribbon cutting, but before that, let's hear what the creator has to say!" the host said. Behind the mini stage was a big screen. The screen was switched to a video of an audio recording of a man where it only shows the waves of the audio.

"Hello, this is the creator of J-City. This place was called East Moorgan Valley before. Most of the structures were old and brittle. There are hundreds of abandoned buildings and hundreds of squatters. As a creative director, I promised myself to make the world a better place. And when I saw EastMoorgan Valley, I knew this was the start of it. EastMoorgan Valley was renovated for 2 years and half. We worked with the best architects and engineers in the country to build this city, this new urban city known as J-City.The dream of having a high-tech city is here. Welcome to J-City! "

Crowds started shouting for the sweet welcome from the creator. 

"Now, I hereby proclaim the opening of J-City!"

The people shout and the screaming intensifies when the heads of J-City synchronously cut the ribbon.

Jae came to the city the day after the grand opening. She is dumbfounded by the high-tech facilities, the organized street signs, the architecturally finished buildings, the high-class brands, and the high-profile endorsers.

The surroundings are bright because of the aesthetic lighting. The roads are wide enough so there won't be any traffic jams. When roaming around, trashbins are always there to catch the trash. Even though the place is high-tech, they did not forget about nature. Trees and plants are seen around the buildings and houses. There are no stray dogs or cats, because they were in the vet house. There were no beggars on the sidewalks because they were taken care of by the charity house. Everything is good in J-City. 

Jae looked around for an apartment to stay in. Her money was not enough to rent a hotel in the city. "J-City Hotels were expensive." There's 350 per night and 10,000 per month. It is not good enough to have a 1,000 dollar budget. 

Luckily, she saw an old 3-story brick building far off the main road. It's the only building that was old and brittle, while the rest were renovated. The building is the shortest of all the buildings. It has a wide yard besides it, with a big old tree. She got in front of the door and saw the poster stating that they still had vacant rooms. She came inside and asked the landlord about the fee. She was surprised that any young individual could pay off the rental fee. The landlord handed the key to the first room in the third storey. She settled down in a 10 meter long and 7 meter wide old room. It has a single bed, a table and a cabinet on the side, a bathroom, and a kitchen. The whole place is perfect for someone who lives alone. She started hanging her clothes in the cabinet, and she unpacked her basic necessities. 

"This place is perfect. I'll never go back to that place ever again. I'll get a decent job here! Adopt a dog and raise money for a small business."
