6 Business Opportunities (3)

After Ming left the restaurant with the girl's information, she had delighted for the entire day. She knew that the girl was a manager for models, so Ming thought about being a model. She was deep in thought about it, however, as she knew that her mother will probably just not bother with her until she becomes well-known in the modeling world. But, she wasn't doing it just so her mother would be pleased, she would be doing it so her own self would be pleased with the successful work she would be doing.

If she was going to be a model, she would have to learn the ropes and the ins and outs of the modeling industry. She knew how cutthroat people can be in this particular career as she has already seen a rude model and she was sure that there are plenty others. She knew that famous people could be rude to other famous people and her mother was proof of that. She hoped her mother's enemies wasn't in the modeling industry as that would be bad for them and her mother.

Ming stopped thinking about her mother as she started to think about the modeling industry. She knew that to be a model, she would have to meet certain standards. For example, she knew that she would have to be pretty, which Ming thought she was average in her looks. She would have to be a certain height, which she fails at because she was 180 cm, which makes her taller than the average height of a woman. Despite her height, her presence is only sensed when she makes a scene, either positive or negative. Ming likes it like that, however, as no one can accuse her of something she didn't do as her presence was sensed by other people unless they know her.

Ming glanced down the surprisingly unbent card. She moved her dainty finger over the name of the girl she had met in the restaurant and she smiled to herself. Despite herself, she could see herself getting along with the woman named Ling Jing. She then glanced over the agency that Jing works for. "Sunlight Butterflies." She whispered the name. She knew the name, but she also knew that it wasn't very popular. She knew that it was actually a great starting point, but she also knew about the shady things that the president of the agency kept from the public. Ming would like to start with Sunlight Butterflies, but she didn't want to be tricked into taking a deal that she wouldn't be able to escape from.

Knowing what she planned to do now, Ming decided to take a cab home. When she arrived home, her mother had gone to her business office and she wasn't due back until three weeks. Ming smiled coldly. She preferred that way. The more time she's away is more time for me to get ready to be a model. Ming thought, not catching her father and grandfather watching her with concerned gazes. After they stopped gazing at her in fear of being caught by her and erupting her volcanic wrath, they shared glances at each other. They went back into the family room. "I hope she knows what she's doing." Her father says, feeling very worried and concerned about his only daughter.

Her grandfather smiled at the younger man. "Don't worry about Ming too much. She knows what she wants in life. She just needs to figure it out on her own." Her grandfather advised her father. Her father agreed with him as he was glad that he didn't coddle her as a young girl as her personality wouldn't allow the coddling as she would have rebelled in a much more aggressive way.

The two men decided to continue putting their trust in Ming as they felt that she would go far in whatever she chooses to do and Ming would prove that with her success in the career that she was going to work in. I'm going to be a model, but I need a teacher. I wonder if Jing wouldn't mind teaching me? Ming wondered as she glanced down at the card once again. After Ming placed the card on her night stand, she yawned sleepily and she checked the time. "It's late already." Ming was shocked as she laid down in her bed and fell asleep.
