The next morning, Ming woke up, feeling even more drained from the past day's events. She sighed and she decided to get ready to go find a job. Even if it wouldn't please her mother, she would, at least, have a source of her own income. Ming got ready by starting with a steaming, hot shower. She then put on a long, black shirt and a light pink blouse. Her shoes were made for both walking and running. She grabbed her purse and she prepared to leave the house. "Good luck today." Her father told her. Ming answered him with a polite smile and a 'thanks'. As she left the house, she could already the gazes and hear the soft murmurs of the people gossiping about her being left at the alter, but it wasn't rude towards her. They were being rude towards the groom that never showed up at the wedding.

Ming couldn't help but be curious about how the roles had switched. She suspected that it had something to do with the family of the groom. The family really did mean that he ruined his own reputation. He ruined mine's temporarily, it seems. She thought, walking about the city. As she walked about the city, she gazed at the businesses that were hiring. As she gazed at each one, she wouldn't find one that interested her.

She continued to gaze around the city until lunchtime. She decided to go eat lunch and continue job-searching. As she found a nice restaurant to eat in, she was taken to a table. "I've never thought that job-searching was so hard." She muttered, placing her head in her hands. After a while, she picked herself up and she searched the menu. In the end, she only ordered a cup of coffee and a small coffee cake. As she waited for her lunch to arrive, she checked her job for any more job openings and as she found nothing that interested her, she saw a timid woman being harassed by another woman and the timid woman was on the floor, shielding her face. The timid woman had glasses that was off of her face and her delicate face made Ming feel slightly protective.

"You stupid girl! You were supposed to be my manager! You are so useless!" The timid woman was being shouted at, but she didn't know why. She did exactly what her boss had asked of her.

"W-what did I do?" She asked the slightly older woman and the woman didn't take too kindly to her question. She raised her hand and that was when the timid woman closed her eyes in fear. After she never felt her boss's stinging slap, she opened up her eyes, only to see Ming holding her boss's wrist. She gasped in shock because no one had ever stopped the woman from hitting her. Who is she? She thought, gazing at Ming. Her boss would only stare at Ming in shock.

"Xing Ming, what a pleasure meeting you here." The woman was now polite as she was in company of a rich woman, but Ming was only rich in her family name, other than that, she was actually poor. Ming huffed and she turned to the timid woman that was on the floor of the restaurant. She couldn't believe that she had held out her hand for the woman to take.

"Are you alright?" She heard herself ask to the younger girl. The woman gazed at Ming in shock and she placed her hand in hers and Ming helped her up. She turned to the now pale woman and she spoke. "Who are you? I know I've heard of some new models, but you don't act like one." She told the woman harshly. The slightly older woman flinched at Ming's cruel words, yet she knew that she was telling the truth. The truth hurts. She thought, gazing at Ming.

"I was just showing the girl how the real world acts." The woman started to pour excuses out of her mouth and Ming showed her displeasure at the woman by staring at her coldly.

"She seems to be a manager, who is new. You should treat new people in the business with kindness as they don't know how most people are when surrounded by other people." Ming told the woman, scolding her very harshly. The woman felt the blow of her words. I am getting scolded like I'm a child! She thought in horror. Ming had kept the timid woman behind her as she watched the woman pick up her glasses.

"I'm sorry." She told her boss, who simply glared at Ming.

"She's a nobody in the modeling world. Compared to you, she's just a child." She told Ming curtly and Ming narrowed her gold eyes. The woman realized her mistake as she realized that she had angered Xing Ming. Me and my big mouth! She thought in horror as Ming kept her glare on her.
