49 ANNOUNCEMENT.
Greetings Everyone,
Firstly, I would like to apologize for the rather sudden hiatus. I've been dealing with a lot of commitments and issues real life, leaving me with no time to spare towards writings. As much as I love to write and escape into my magic art constructions, real life comes first.
Now that the somber-sounding stuff is out of the way, time for the announcement. And it is GOOD (mostly).
1. Capital Of Greed WILL CONTINUE! Except now, it's been republished. So, I kindly ask you to search the name of the book (Capital Of Greed) and add the other one (same name, same cover, same everything) to your library. The updates, starting today (and at the same time this message is being published) will be published under that.
Q: Why the sudden change?
Well, this book is under this un-contracted limbo which really stifles its growth and doesn't allow for a wider audience to reach it. And because I contracted the work under a different contract, the book had to be republished. Worry not, for this double, doppelgänger-esque scenario is temporary until the older-version (this one) gets removed. Hopefully, in a week.
2. I plan to release this book, Capital Of Greed, TOTALLY FREE. That's right. All chapters are, and will, remain free. Hooray, for the fans! (and their wallets, I guess)
Q: That seems too good to be true. What's the catch?
Well, first and foremost, I'm saddened that you think that. Do you really take me for a money-hungry, number-crunching capitalist? If yes, then wow, you're right on the money! (Pun intended)
Jokes aside, I was considering trying out this ******* thing. Fans (who are able to) can consider subscribing to my ******* (still not up, but will soon be). This is a completely voluntary action and will not whatsoever affect the regular posting and continuation of the novel. Of course, patrons will receive bonus content. (advance chapters, official artwork, and access to some of my earliest writings; stuff I've written nine years ago! There is also the patron-exclusive story)
If my words mean anything, I would say continuing reading for free as you usually do. There is no pressure to commit and you're welcome to support me only when and if you think that I'm worthy of that support.
3. For fans asking me about my other book, specifically Lord of Annihilation (LoA). I'm really, really, really, really sorry but it is currently under an INDEFINITE HIATUS. I'm completely burnt out writing it and honestly, never expected it to get the following and size it did. The vision and direction for the novel has changed many times during the course of its writing, and at some point, I simply felt drained after writing a single chapter. For reference, at the start I could write four or five a day without breaking a sweat.
That being said, I am proud of every single chapter that I've written so far and would never change anything (except the typos and amateurish writing, maybe). While the story did go off the rail from my original vision, I honestly think that its current state is its best one.
Q: Will you ever finish it?
Of course, I definitely plan to finish it. The ending for that story has always been engraved in my mind and while the route to get there so far has been different, the destination has never changed. (To share a little secret with you, I actually wrote the final scene/chapter for the book before I started writing the first one! I still have the document file saved in my computer)
Thank you for all the support in regards to my writing. It might take half-a-year, one year, or maybe even a couple of years before I find the motivation and fire to finish it. But I promise you, the next time you see a chapter being released for that book, it will be the beginning to the end.
