7 Inhabitation

The Friday before School started marked the start of Move-in at Height's Alliance, the dorms at UA. All four years of students would be moving in over the weekend.

Izuku and Katsuki, being local, were the first to move into the 1-A dorm building.

After they bid farewell to their parents, they moved their belongings into their rooms, Izuku in 303, Katsuki in 305.

After he brought up all of his boxes and luggage, Izuku began setting up. He had elected to bring only some of his collection, his most prized possessions. All Might's Silver Age figurine, a Golden Age poster, and his limited edition Bronze Age alarm clock were tastefully setup in his dorm room, along with his computer on his desk, and all of his normal linens and clothes.

"Oi, Deku, you done yet?" Katsuki's voice drifted in from the closed door.

"Yeah, just about, Kacchan," as Deku folded his last t-shirt and put it in his drawer.

"Good, Round Face will be here soon, and I know you'll want to help her. Don't forget we gotta make lunch, too."

Izuku blushed a bit at the mention of Ochako. Their second date had been wonderful. Until Kacchan caught them at the restaurant, out with his parents. He wasn't letting Izuku off easy now that he could tease him endlessly about it.

"Heh, yeah, thanks for reminding me." He calmed his nerves, and then, after double checking his room, turned and walked out to go downstairs to start food prep.

He was halfway through prepping the pork for the katsudon when he heard the front door open, and Ochako walked in and took a look around. He looked up and grinned broadly at her, catching her eye. She blushed and waved at him, and called out, "Hi, Deku!", and turned to go up the stairs, her luggage in tow.

"Do you need help?" He called after her.

"No thanks! I just have the one bag," she replied from the stairs.

Nodding to himself, he turned back to the food prep.

A couple seconds later, Katsuki walked into the kitchen a smirk on his face.

"Move over, nerd. I gotta prep the rice," as he washed his hands, and got the rice cooker ready.

Both boys had learned from their mothers how to prep and cook a variety of meals, mostly in a bid to help them get relationships, but also so they wouldn't go hungry.

Not long after lunch had started cooking, the front door opened again and a tall woman with spiky black hair walked in, followed by a burly man in a suit, carrying two suitcases. She looked over at the two men in the kitchen, nodded and then turned to walk up the stairs. Not a minute later, the man in the suit walked back out.

Izuku and Katsuki shared a pointed look and a shrug, and then went back to cooking.

Not two minutes later, the man walked back in with another man in a suit, carrying a huge bed frame. Izuku and Katsuki stared, slack jawed, at the size of the bed as the two men carried it upstairs. They came back down, and proceeded to bring in a couple more boxes, before walking down a final time with the tall young woman. They bowed at the front door towards her, and she waved them away.

She smiled and walked over to the kitchen, and bowed slightly at the two men cooking.

"Hello, I am Momo Yaoyorozu. Pleased to meet you."

Katsuki and Izuku looked at each other briefly, and turned and bowed back.

"Izuku Midoriya"

"Katsuki Bakogu"

"Whatever you are making smells amazing!" Momo exclaimed.

"Katsudon. My mom's recipe," Izuku said, turning to her and smiling. He noticed the look of longing on Momo's face, "Oh, don't worry, there is enough food for everyone!"

A smile crossed Momo's face.

"Aunty knows how to cook like a goddess," Katsuki commented, not turning away from the rice he was cooking.

"Aunty? Are you two related?" Momo had a curious look on her face.

Izuku and Katsuki started chuckling.

Izuku smiled broadly, "No, but our parents are really good friends. We grew up together."

He turned to look at his friend.

"Kacchan and I have been going to school and challenging each other since our quirks showed up."

"Yeah, but they are closer to brothers than friends, isn't that right, Kacchan?" Uraraka said as she walked into the kitchen with a smile.

Katsuki went stiff at the sound of his nickname, and turned slowly to stare at Uraraka who had her tongue out.

"Hi there, I'm Ochako Uraraka," she said turning to Momo.

Momo introduced herself, and then asked, "You know them too?"

"Well, we met at the entrance exam, and Deku saved me from a zero-pointer, but we have been hanging out almost everyday since then." Uraraka, blushing slightly, looked at Izuku with a smile, which he returned in kind.

Momo looked a little puzzled at the mention of the zero-pointer.

"Big robot, probably 15 stories tall. I was able to stop one from crushing Ochako," he said simply as he turned to grab bowls and spices.

"Deku, don't sell yourself short," Ochako smirked at him, then turned to Momo, smiling. "He vaporized it."

Momo's eyebrows rose high at that.

"Vaporized? As in-"

Ochako nodded fervently, "Poof! Gone!"

Izuku had turned red from the praise, his hand rubbing the back of his head.

He chuckled lightly, while starting to serve up four bowls of rice and pork cutlets that were done cooking.

Momo was looking at him curiously, and he took a breath before explaining.

"My quirk allows me to absorb and release massive amounts of energy. I can regulate the flow, so to speak, but when I need to, I can let loose tremendous amounts of power."

He looked at her as passed her a bowl and chopsticks, "Please don't say anything to anyone yet. I don't want anyone treating me any different."

She took the bowl and nodded, looking into his sincere and concerned face.

'He's that worried about people treating him differently? He's like me, not wanting to show off.'

"Don't worry, Midoriya, I won't say anything. I know how you feel."

But she didn't continue, instead taking a bite of the food. She had to stop herself from audibly moaning from how good it tasted; the look of bliss on her face was all Izuku needed.

His face split into a wide grin.

"Hey look, Kacchan, another convert."

Katsuki looked over at Momo and chuckled.

"Told you so."

Izuku passed a bowl to Ochako, and set out two more bowls.

Just as he was about to finish cleaning up, the door opened and a short woman with long green hair tied in a bow walked in. She looked around, and seeing everyone in the dining room, she walked over.

"Hello, I'm Tsuyu Asui, pleased to meet you." She bowed a little, and then everyone introduced themselves. Izuku invited her to have lunch with them.

"I'm going to take my stuff upstairs and then I'll be right down," Tsuyu said before turning to the stairs.

A couple minutes later, she came down.

Izuku had a bowl prepped for her, and was just setting it down as she sat down next to Ochako.

Another face of bliss and small ribbit, and another convert joined the group.

The others laughed and continued eating, small talk about school and the dorm passing between them.

Over the course of the next hour or so, a handful of more people showed up.

Tenya Iida was polite, but stiff; Izuku was glad to see him relax once he started eating.

Kyoka Jiro was quiet and reserved, until she tasted the pork rice bowl. After that she was chatting with Momo and Ochako openly.

Another quiet soul, Fumikage Tokoyami, joined them afterwards. He was polite, thanked Izuku and Katsuki for the meal and then was content to sit quietly, answering a few questions that came his way quickly.

Denki Kaminari was loud and boisterous, a clashing personality to the last two, but he quieted down as soon as he started eating.

Itsuka Kendo, a tall, orange haired girl, was very polite and started chatting with everyone easily.

She took to the food immediately, mimicking Momo with her reaction.

The next two people to arrive added a little more life to group.

Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu and Eiko Kirishima arrived almost at the same time, both of them talking animatedly about a workout schedule and their quirks. Once they made it a couple feet into the dorm, the smell of cooked rice and pork cutlet hit them, and their stomachs growled deeply.

Izuku got up from the table and walked over to them.

"Hi! I'm Izuku Midoriya. We have lunch ready for you, if you'd like to take your stuff upstairs. I'll prepare bowls for you!"

The two introduced themselves and then split up to take their bags upstairs.

Izuku turned back to the table, and caught Katsuki watching the red headed Eiko walk up the stairs.

'Well, now, isn't that interesting?' He thought with a smirk. He quickly placed his smile back on before Katsuki turned back to his bowl.

After the two muscle ridden newcomers were seated and bowls were in front of them, Izuku was surprised to see tears falling down their faces.

"This is the best food I have ever tasted!" Tetsutetsu exclaimed, "Who cooked this amazing meal?"

Everyone else pointed to Izuku and Katsuki. Izuku blushed and waved. Katsuki just smirked and took a drink of water.

Eiko followed up, "Seriously guys, that is so manly! This is so good!"

Izuku chuckled and sat back down and joined the conversation.

It wasn't much longer for a couple more people showed up.

Hanta Sero was grateful for the meal after moving in, chatting along with Tetsutetsu and Denki.

Mina Ashido was bubbly and got along with the rest of the girls handily. When Eiko saw her, they hugged. Izuku gathered that they went to the same high school.

Toru Hagakura was different. Floating clothes walked in and introduced herself, and then joined them for lunch, taking to Mina like her other best friend.

Mezo Shoji was probably the oddest of the group, flashing a toothy smile from one of his arms, and introducing himself before taking a single bag upstairs. He wasn't gone more than two minutes before he was joining the group, grateful for the bowl of food that Izuku passed to him.

Pony Tsunotori introduced herself, and then joined the group after quickly taking her things upstairs. She was quiet at first, but the food brought out her energy and she started getting along with everyone rapidly.

Ibara Shiozaki was very polite, and thanked Izuku for the meal feverently. He watched her as she blessed her meal and then tucked into the meal, the common look of bliss reaching her face.

She looked at Izuku with eyes full of wonder and amazement. He chuckled, then leaned over to her.

"Almost heavenly, huh?" He said to her with a smile.

She nodded rapidly and then dug into the food, picking up conversation with the other girls around her.

The last person to enter was a man with red and white hair parted down the middle. He regarded the group, then turned and walked up the stairs without saying anything. He came back down about 30 minutes later, and Izuku introduced himself.

"I'm Shoto," he said simply.

"Well, Shoto, I've got food for you if you are hungry. And you are more than welcome to join us."

Shoto regarded the table of students and nodded lightly.

He picked a spot at the end of one of the tables, and Izuku served up the last bowl.

"Thank you for the meal," Shoto said placing his hands together and bowed slightly.

"You're welcome!" Izuku bowed back.

He then turned and looked at group with a small smile. Everyone was talking and getting along, just like he hoped.

'Food is the best way to bring people together.' He thought to himself, remembering what his mother told him.

"If anyone wants seconds, bring me your bowls!" He announced as he turned to the kitchen.

There were a few chairs that got launched as the mad dash for more food launched towards the kitchen.

After everyone had their fill, Izuku was smiling contendly to himself as he did the dishes.

Some people had left to go finish setting up their rooms, others were lounging on the couches in the common area, watching tv.

He felt Ochako walk up beside him, and he turned to her, the smile on his face.

She smiled back and reached for a towel to help dry.

"Good turnout, huh?" Izuku said with a light chuckle.

"Yeah, I'll say. The food comas are starting to kick in," she giggled as she watched Katsuki slump over onto the side of the couch.

"I'm glad that I was able to get everyone together so quickly."

"It doesn't help that you bribed them with your mother's cooking. That's almost cheating," she said smirking. She remembered the first time she had Inko's amazing food. She could have died right then and there.

He chuckled again, "Yeah I guess I did stack the cards in my favor. Still we should do something as a group later this afternoon."

He put the last dish away, and turned to her.

"Any ideas?"

She thought for a little bit, while folding the dish towel and hanging on the stove handle.

"Maybe music and games? Didn't Kacchan bring his game consoles?"

She looked at him for confirmation.

He nodded, thinking.

"Yeah, that sounds fun!"

Mina was watching the two in the kitchen out of the corner of her eye, and noticed how comfortable they were together.

'Just friends, huh? I don't buy it.'

When they walked out of the kitchen, she swore she saw Ochako almost reach for Izuku's hand.

Izuku walked right up to the back of the couches, then cleared his throat.

"Does anyone have any board or card games? I thought it would be cool to get to know each other a little more and have some fun." He looked around at everyone sitting on the couches, and lingered on Katsuki who jumped awake at the sound.

"Kacchan, did you bring your games?" He looked at Katsuki pointedly.

Katsuki got a gleam in his eye and smirked.

"Are you sure you want to do that now? You know what happens."

Denki looked over at Katsuki, "What happens? What are we playing?"

Katsuki was still staring at Izuku.

Izuku sighed, and resigned himself to his fate.

"Smash Bros. I always lose horrendously. Kacchan's too good."

"Sounds like a challenge to me!" Denki said as he bolted to his feet, "I'll take you on!"

Mina jumped up too, excited to play, "I wanna go too!"

Katsuki stood up fast, a wild grin on his face, "Alright! I'll take you all on!"

With that, he sprinted upstairs and was back down in record time with his game system.

'And here we go…' Izuku sighed, Ochako giggling next to him.
