36 Won't Leave You a Scar

After the thorough checked up on her, she fell asleep on her hospital bed then. The impact of the fall, and the pain it caused must have tired her causing her to feel dizzy and eventually fell asleep.

Mj and Karl didn't left her. They both stayed to watch over Jen making sure that she will be alright and be well taken cared of by the doctor and nurses. Soon, they both fell asleep too in each other's arms while sharing a small watcher's bed.

At the middle of the night, Jen woke up. She observed her surroundings and her sight landed on her left. Seeing Karl and Mj cuddled in each other in a small watcher's bed made her feel more envious and furious of them. "Why can't they be easily ruined by her doings? Her plan failed again," she thought to herself. "Maybe I have to do it even more in a vicious way then. Regardless if it's obvious or not, I don't care anymore. I have to come up to a more legit but sneaky way of doing it," she thought to herself.

In fear that her furious facial expressions would be seen, when she saw Karl twitched a bit, she pretended to fall asleep. She waited and waited for more minutes. And when she didn't noticed any more movements from Karl nor from Mj, she relaxed and calmed herself releasing a silent sigh, in avoiding a possibility of waking them two up.

She silently sigh again in great relief when she noticed that the two lovebirds were really in their deep sleep, and could not be awaken on any slight movements she might make.

She blinked her eyes 5 times and closed it trying to calm herself. And then, in a little bit later, she fell asleep again for real.

The sun was already up when she woke up from the deep sleep. Mj was smiling at her and Karl was just silently observing her.

"Good morning, sleeping beauty. How are you feeling now, my friend?" greeted Mj.

Afraid that she won't look beauty as she recalled from her fall yesterday, she then asked Mj, "Oh, could you get me a mirror please?"

"Sure. Here, take a look." as Mj gave her the mirror.

"Oh, my face, my poor face." saddened Jen.

"Don't worry Jen, the swelling had already subsided and it will continue to subside even more. Soon it will go back to its own beauty and Alas! You won't even know it happened. It won't leave you a scar." assured Mj.

"Thanks Mj. I really need that encouragement of yours." she smiled but with a little smirk.

Mj didn't mind Jen's smirkness, for she thought it was just a normal gesture for someone who suffered in pain from the fall.

"There's nothing else to worry then. Your doctor said, nothing really serious happened to you, so you will be discharged today and recuperate at home," continued Mj.

"O-okay," retreated Jen. In her mind, "How come Karl was just so silent then, while Mj continued to assure and encourage her? Is this what they called "good cop, bad cop" tandem? Hmmm, not bad at all, if they are just trying to pretend in front of her! But that's not their role. It was my role to keep pretending, not theirs!"

Mj noticed the sudden change in Jen's facial expressions, so she asked, "Is there anything bothering you? Are you still in pain? Do you want me to call the doctor?"

"Nope, I'm fine. The doctor said nothing serious happened to me, right? So I should be fine. I wanna go home now."

"Okay we had already processed it. We're just waiting for the nurse station to finally issue us a discharge slip, and then you will be able to go home."

"Okay, thanks."

Not long after, the nurse came in and gave them her discharge slip.

Karl drive them home, first they sent Jen home making sure she will be comfortable for recuperating. Then he drive Mj to her hotel afterwards. For he knows the both of them were tired from watching Jen at the hospital, so he told Mj ahead that he will just drop Mj at her hotel and will proceed to his own hotel room too to rest himself. When they arrived at her hotel, he did not forget to give Mj a smooch before she got out from the car.

"Get some rest, honey, I love you."

"You too get some rest. I love you too. See you later, alligator." They both smiled at each other. Mj then opened the car door and proceeded inside the hotel.

When he saw Mj is already inside the glass doors of the hotel, he then stepped on the accelerator and drive all the ways to the hotel he is checked in at.
