60 Throwbacks

While they are on their way to the hospital, suddenly, she recalled their love story, and then her own life story. It's like a flashback into her mind that has automatically rewinded. It's rather, more like of a so-called 'throwbacks' in the social media....

Many years ago, she had just recovered from depression of having lost her father. For she was so close to her father than her mother. She was like a 'Papa's girl', for she was the only daughter her parents have. Eventhough, they were poor financially and could not buy anything they wanted, their father provided so much love and care to them siblings, moreso to Mj. Her father treated her like his precious gem, with utmost care, his buddy, his assistant in household activities, since her mother doesn't know and not willing to learn to do household chores.

And as she grew up as an adult, she became like her father's bestfriend, for he confided with her mature things in life more than he confide to his own wife, Mj's mother.

Her father was of intellectual being, while her mother, eventhough she's of beauty, but she's dumb and lazy, not willing to learn anything, coz in her own principle her parents(which was Mj's grandparents) were rich and had grown up with silver spoon, with maids and servants to command to, so she in turn tried to undermine her own husband who is intelligent but poor. They don't really get along good, when it comes to maturity and principles in life.

They are in extremes personality, so Mj's mom turns to gossips senseless to their neighborhood, leaving Mj as young as she was just 8 years old, to take care of the household and to take care of her 3 younger brothers, while her father was working hard at the farm.

And so, when her father died, Mj was greatly affected but didn't show it to everyone, for she was forced to take all the responsibilities her father left. She became an instant breadwinner, for she's the only one who had a job of a Public School Elementary Teacher. Her mom don't have a job and had not worked at all in her entire life. Her brothers were still younger than her and was in school, so she had to provide them financially all their needs.

Basically, she didn't really had a time to grieve herself and she just kept it into her heart without expressing it, for she tried to be strong, for no one else would rise up and help them then, other than herself.

2 years after her father's death, after all has been stabilized upon her own strength and resources, Mj turned to depression. For she had no one to confide with, and no one could relate to what she was experiencing and struggling about her emotions of her grieving of her father's death were being suppressed. For she missed her father so much!

It was in her need of companion and someone to confide with, without being judged, when one of her friends Ja, rose up and took care of her and helped her during her depression period. Since, Ja was a Nurse graduate from the same university Mj graduated with, it was not hard for her to accompany Mj to her doctor's appointments, and basically took care of Mj as like her own sister.

"Mj, my friend, you need to be strong. I will help you overcome all these depressions you have. I will walk with you, take care of you, listen to all your cries, watch over you and so on. Soon, you will overcome this, and we will laugh together after." Ja trying to comfort Mj, while she was having sleepless nights and nightmares.

"Thank you very much Ja. I don't know what to do if you did not came to my rescue." with bittersweet smile, Mj tried to respond to Ja.

"I have an idea to help you divert your attention. It's like changing routes away from your depression." Ja, with an optimistic suggestion.

"What is it?" Mj's chinese eyes widened a bit.

"Why won't you try chatting online? It doesn't have to be looking for an ideal relationships, though that is mostly the trend nowadays. But, just for the sake of you have lots of different people accross the globe you can confide with, aside from me."

"Okay, hmmm sounds good. But, I don't know how to start it, since as of this moment, I am not really focus on anything nor on anyone. My mind is in a mess really. Plus the sleepless nights and nightmares I'm having every night, it doesn't really help."

"You don't have to worry about that, leave it to me then. When your profile is ready, I'll inform you."

"Okay then, I trust you. How can you be so good to me and taking care of me, Ja?"

"We are friends, remember? That's what friends are for, helping each other, especially in thier time of need." Ja smiled widely.

"Thank you very much my friend. You of all my friends, have risen up to help me in my time of need. You are a true friend indeed! And I am greatful of all your genuine help to me." Mj gave an embrace to Ja.

"You're welcome my friend. It's my pleasure to be here by your side." Ja reciprocated Mj's embrace....
