10 The Reality

Within these two days while waiting for Karl to be finally be discharged from the hospital, Mj never failed to visit him and spend her all morning with him at the hospital. And in the afternoon, he let Karl rested for the rest of the day and night so she can go home herself and take care of Kevin too.

In all her conversations with Karl, she never dared to talk to him about her marriage with Kevin. In her mind, he would probably flip out once he will find it out and would never talk to her anymore.

All she could tell him was she's working as a caregiver and for her to be able to take care of them both, she's living at Kevin's house.

Upon knowing this, Karl did'nt question more of what Mj has been doing in her life. What matters most is that she's here and they finally have somewhat physically together.

Although, at the back of his mind, there seems to be questionable of Mj's presence in his country, but he never dared to question more than what was explained to him.

Two days have passed and finally it's time for Karl to be discharged. The hospital has been like a home for his body being unconscious for a year and it's just but right to be finally be back at his house.

Adding the fact of knowing that Mj is just working as a caregiver of his neighbor Kevin, he couldn't help but be excited to get home and somehow visit Mj and Kevin from time to time.

"Thank you doctor and nurses for taking care of me for a year, I'm very much grateful of all of your efforts and care, and I have a new life now!" as he bid goodbyes to the hospital people.

Soon they arrived home. After settling down the things they brought with, Karl, with the excitement and love in his heart for Mj, he quickly grabbed Mj's shoulders pulling her close to his body and covered her lips with his lips. Mj was in a daze for a moment, but quickly snapped out and returned the kiss.The kiss was very intimate and hot to the point of even if they would run out of breaths, they wouldn't want to stop, expressing their love and longing for each other.

She wrapped her arms around his neck continuing their kiss while his hands are wrapped around her waist. He couldn't help but wanting her so much intimately, he then proceeded to unzip the zipper at the back of her dress she's wearing.

As soon as her dress was unzipped, she snapped out of their kiss and startled a bit. She remembered that she's still married with Kevin, and even though Kevin never touched her intimately, she cannot deny the fact that she's still the wife of Kevin and not of Karl's.

"Sorry, I got carried away, if you're not ready yet, I should have not initiated it", apologized Karl.

"No, its not that...ahmm" she's out of words. How could she explain to Karl that she married Kevin out of desperation to help Karl out?

"Are you okay?" Karl checking on her puzzled.

"Yes, I'm okay. How can I not be okay?" she smiled trying to fade away the worried look on Karl's face.

"Anyways, I have to leave you here now and check up on Kevin's condition, he must have been hungry now. I have left him for 2 hours already. I'll get back to you soon. You better rest, Okay?" Mj, while caressing his head.

"No, I'm good. How about I go with you and check up on Kevin together?" suggested Karl while caressing Mj's hair.

"Are you sure you wanna do that?" she protested.

"Yes, of course. Besides, I wanna thank him for hiring you as his caregiver so that at the same time you can help take care of me, right?" smiled Karl with enthusiast.

"O-okay!" she hesitated for a moment but agreed after.

"Let's go!"

"Let's go then".

And they went to Kevin's house....

She opened the door of Kevin's house and went straight to their bedroom where Kevin is laying down on the bed very sickly. Following her was Karl.

"Kevin, Karl is here wanting to visit you and thank you for helping me out," said Mj in a gentle voice.

"Have him come near me, Mj and prepare in the kitchen something for him to drink and eat," Kevin gave a nod look at her gesturing her to leave and go to the kitchen so them guys can talk. She understood and left quickly.

"Come closer to me, Karl, I don't have much strength left in my body, but I'll try my very best to tell you every truths I know," he asked Karl in a soft voice.

Puzzled by what he heard, he came closer and lend his ears near to Kevin's mouth to listen to what he's going to say to him.

"Karl, you're a lucky man. Mj have loved you so much. Upon knowing your situation of being in a coma and not enough possibilities of getting you awaken, and since you don't have close kin to take care of you and to decide of whether or not your life support would be taken away from you, she sacrificed herself. She then, resigned from her work as a teacher, left her country and volunteered to be your guardian.

But then, because of visa issues, she had no other choice but had agreed to marry me, so that her longer stay here in Belgium would not be questioned much by both countries. It's been a year since we got married. And she has been a good wife to me. She took good care of both me and you and she never complained any of those hardships, sleepless nights and tiring days she had experienced, just to be able to balance her time taking care of both of us. And since you have now awakened, I don't have much time to live longer anymore to keep her company. I wish you both well!" ended Kevin.

Karl was in great shock and could not process well in his brain and heart what everything Kevin have revealed to him. What, she's married to Kevin? No wonder why she stopped him getting intimate with her after unzipping her dress earlier! Bombarded with questions, thoughts and truths and in shock, he then silently went out of Kevin's room ignoring Mj's presence who was about to enter Kevin's room, and proceeded to get out of Kevin's house. He entered his own house and locked himself in his room in shock. He never went out from his room all night and all day and all night again.
