The Duet Recording

The next day after her date with Fitz, just as what he promised, KM received a bouquet of flowers delivered to her door from Fitz. She sniffed it and put it in her flower vase feeling inspired to start her morning. She read the dedication on it as it says, "Dear KM,

These flowers are as beautiful as you. May it will make you smile as you start your day.

I love you!

Fitz"

Indeed it made her smile and brighten her day. 😊

Today will be their duet recording day with Mero. They will duet one of the famous songs of her dad, the "Truest Love."

When KM arrived at their recording studio, Mero from Peru the musician that she met online, was already there smilingly waiting for her arrival.

Mero was overly excited when he finally seen KM in person. He immediately extend his right hand to shakehands with KM and requested, "KM, can I hug you? I'm just so happy and excited to finally meet you in person, adding to the fact that we will be singing in duet for your album, it's greatly an honor to me."

"Okay, you can hug me quick." KM smiled.

So Mero excitedly hugged her tight, and said, "Thanks, you have no idea how happy I am to be singing with you KM. Thank you for giving me this opportunity," then Mero released her from their hug but still widely smiling.

"For such a talent like you have, you deserve it. And you're welcome." KM nodded with a smile.

So, they started their recording. They made some adjustments on the mixing and blending of their voices a little bit different and improvised from the previous recording of KM and her Dad's duet. This time her duet with Mero was a combination of RnB and modern rock style.

At the first stanzas was an RnB but then gradually changes into a modern rock at the chorus and so on. Then ended slowly as their voices faded to end.

It was a one take recording that both Mero and KM's voices blended together beautifully like they own the song themselves.

The Recording Director was so happy for the result of their recording. They repeatedly listened to it quiet a few times and got carried away by the song and how the two singers had interpreted it suited to their voices.

"Clap, Clap, Clap!" everyone around them applauded them both.

"That was perfectly beautiful!" exclaimed by the Recording Director.

KM smiled and said, "Thank you, all! And thank you Mero. You made the song even more meaningful and beautiful!"

"No, I should be the one thanking you KM, for this such great opportunity you have given me, I am so much grateful! And thank you, all too! I'm sorry I could not mention all your names since I'm new here, but rest assured I treasured this opportunity in my heart." Mero, pointing his right hand to his left chest.

"Well, this calls for a celebration! For finally we have finished your newest 2 albums KM, and then we have a great talent discovery here. Mero, I think you should be there with KM promoting her albums in her promotional tours. This is also your opportunity that you could be introduced and be known to the public." the Recording Director gave a slight tap on Mero's shoulders.

"Really? Am I just dreaming?" Mero couldn't believe it himself.

"This is real and you're not dreaming, Mero. This is your break and your stepping stone to become famous too!" the Director re-affirmed him.

"Congratulations Mero! This is the start of your singing career to become famous to the world! Don't hold back and don't worry I'll back you up. Believe in yourself and believe in your talent." KM encouraged Mero as she gave a slight on his shoulders.

"Thank you, thank you very much, thank you again! Thank you God! Hoooraaay!" Mero couldn't help but jumped quickly being overjoyed.

"So tomorrow and the next days and week after, your schedule with KM's promotional tours will be really busy, don't get lost Mero for you will be part of it too. Your manager Mr. Tom will be briefing you of your schedules and will assist you for all your needs. Also, I want you to sign a contract with us, as we have a plan after this promotional tours of KM to get you as one of our rising rock singers. That's if you'll agree to it, of course. I'll have the contract be ready for you to sign tomorrow, will that be okay to you then?" the Director laid down his plans for Mero.

"Okay, okay, yes I'll sign it after reading the contract." with so much excitement, he grabbed KM's hands and shake it together with his hands and exclaimed, "KM, I'm really so happy. Words are not even enough to thank you for giving me this opportunity of a lifetime," he then kissed her hands 3 times out of his gratefulness.
