4 Is this what was wished for?

"This is strange, I don't feel dead." "And how exactly am I to know what being dead feels like?" Li Chang argued with himself.

"Who am I kidding? I must be dead. I've never seen a room as bizarre as this one before. It's entirely foreign to me. And for me to just appear here, I must have died. That b****'s beating this time must have finally killed me." "That actually does make sense." Li Chang continued to rationalize.

"Okay, so what now voice in my head. Do I try getting up and looking around or do I simply wait here for god to show up?" "..." "figures I'd have no answers for me" Li Chang mumbled to himself and tried getting out of bed.

Before he could stand up, his head was assaulted by intense pain, he felt his thoughts scatter and he crashed back onto the bed.

He had felt this before, back when the man had used [Soul Search} on him. Only this was much much worse. The pain was so intense that he couldn't help trying to stop it by circulating his qi, trying anything he could to protect his mind.

Suddenly the pain disappeared and Li Chang heard the voice of an old mans say, "memory and information implantation not complete? Only around 50% eh. Hmmm, I guess that will be good enough"

"..." "Uh, that wasn't me was it?" Li Chang hurriedly asked himself.

"Of course it wasn't you. It was me" Li Chang heard the old voice say.

Startled, Li Chang look all around the room and seeing that nobody was there he asked "Senior, might i ask who you are?"

"I'm the person you were just waiting for."

That was the only information that he recieved. However, that was more than enough. Li Chang was now properly confused and scared. "Senior, or uh, god, can you please tell me where I am" Li Chang delicatly asked; because he was now trying to start a conversation with GOD...

"You are in your room and don't worry, calling me senior is fine."

"My room?"

"Thats right Alexander, your room"

"Um, what do you mean my room"

"Its where you live Alexander. Don't worry, you'll get used to it"

"Senior, I'm sorry but my name is Li Chang."

"Don't worry, you'll get used to that too"

"Senior, you must be misteken my name really is Li Chang."

"You little brat, do you actually think I don't know who you are after I brought you here? Do you think I made a mistake? Oh, maybe you just want to go back to that cell and your injured body, is that it? Is saving you the mistake I made?"

"No! Senior of course not. I Alexander would never want to go back there, of course there was no mistake."

"Good. Well I'll be going then."

"Senior please, before you go, could you tell me where i am."

"You are in your room."

"..."

"Hahahaha. You are now in Hillandale city, in the northern part of country A, on a planet called... no matter, you will probably know the rest shortly. After the information and memories i gave you settle in, everything will be more clear. Don't worry you'll get used to it."

"But Senior, you said i only recieved half of the memories."

"Well that's your fault isnt it, for trying to stop me. I ordered the memories by importance so what you will be missing will most likely be just some minor stuff. You'll get used to it"

"Senior how will I survive and how will I know what to do with only half of the memories and information?"

"You little brat, It is still a lot of information that you recieved. You will probably be just fine. Don't worry, you'll get used to it."

"..."

"Now that's enough. If you ask any more questions you'll make me regret helping you. Now I'm going to get out of here. I'll give you a little bit more information after I leave alright; So dont worry, you'll get used to it."

"..."

"..."

"Um, senior?"

"Uh, god?"

"Dont worry you'll get used to it. Don't worry you'll get used to it. Humph, why dont you get used to it old man!" Li Chang, now Alexander Mitchell, snarkily said after he had made sure that god had left.

After saying that, the pain immediatly returned and he collapsed, while a uncalculable amout of new information apeared in his mind all at once. This time with no protection at all.

"Ouch. I guess i shouldn't have said that after all I do appreciate being saved. I remember wishing to start over but is this what i wished for? This certainly isn't how I thought it would happen." Li Chang thought, as he woke up rubbing his head. He didn't even realized that he had passed out.

Once again, Li Chang looked around the room. However, this time when he looked it was different, he could identify most of the things in his new room. He recognized a TV, a computer, an alarm clock and he knew they were electronic devices. He didn't know everything, but it was still a major improvement.

"So I'm now Alexander" Li Chang thought to himself as he started to check the information that god had given him. "That god voice was right, there is a significant amount of new memories and information in my head."

As a cultivator in his past life(even a low tier one) he had a very good memory. However, it was far to much information for him to process all at once. He needed to narrow it down and pick a single target for his thoughts.

This whole situation was far beyond anything he could have ever imagined. He had no way to emotionaly accept what had happened to him. He was Li Chang. He had always been Li Chang.

Admittedly this world was new. This room was new. And he could tell that he had new memories and even his looks were different.

But what does that mean? His mind was still his own. He still had his own past and he still had his own name. Since he had his own thoughts, how could he be someone new.

"Okay fine, I agree that my life and past are worth forgetting and being here now means that god did save me. But I had a family and a life in my previous world. Sort of. I had a mother and two sisters at the very least. right? What does this Alexander have." Li Chang decided to look only at the memories of Alexander to try and figure out what he should do.

Alexander has an older sister and a younger brother. He has a mother but no father. "Pretty close god. Pretty close." Li Chang thought as he analyzed the memories from Alexander.

"Wait! What the..." Li Chang suddenly stopped his thoughts as he realized that some pretty important pieces of information seemed to be missing.

He had no idea what his mother, his sister, or his brother looked like. "Is this some kind of joke from that god? Is this considered the minor information I'm lacking?"

The information in Li Changs head was mostly centered around Alexander's schoolwork and living. Not recognizing some things in his room was acceptable but not recognizing his new family was something entirely different.

His head was filled with the knowledge of this world. He knew math, reading, writing, geography, language and basically all of his daily routine and situation. Even the common laws of this country and it's social structure was there. It seemed to be a combination of what Alexander thought about the most and what god thought he would need.

However when it came to his own interpersonal information it was sorely lacking. In fact, it was nearly non existent.

He knew some peoples names and where he knew them from. He also knew how he was supposed to behave but everything else was blank. There were almost no faces. No real details at all.

He knew the name of his school and how to get there, but he didnt even know if he had any friends or a girlfriend. For most of the people that Alexander knew he drew a blank as to how they looked.

Even when it came to his family it was only the bare minimum.

"Who decided what information would be important for me? You did a terrible job. I should know what my family looks like at the very least." Li Chang lamented.

"This is going to be very awkward if i go and talk to the wrong people. Who knows what they will do to me if i offend them or something." Li Chang began to worry as he though for the first time that he might not be able to get used to this.

"Well at least this Alexander seems intellagent and healthy. My guess is that I have a blank slate so i can make my own decisions about people. That could be a positive thing. Though i feel like it may be a bit of a stretch to call it a positive." Li Chang tried to calm down so that he could try and decide how to aproach this new world.

He had to aclimate himself to this new environment quickly, if he was expecting to survive and make it in this new world.

"Alexander! I know it's your day off from school but you cant just stay in your room and sleep all day. Come down and eat."

From just on the other side of his door the voice of a woman interupted his thoughts.

"I guess that will be my new mother, Sarah Mitchell." Li Chang thought, upon hearing the owner of a female voice address him in a gentle tone. Honestly, that kind of tone had become completely foreign to him in his previous world. "At least she seems caring."

"I guess i can't avoid meeting my new family forever. I might as well just get this over with." Thought Li Chang as he stood up and nerviously walked to his door. If this person truly cared for him, he would not want to disappoint them. Even if he couldnt accept them as his new family he wanted to be accepted by them.

He steeled his nervs and opened the door.

Li Chang momenterily froze upon seeing the face of the woman who greeted him.
